The size of this property was perfect for our family. There was 5 adults. The property was located close to town so it was very convenient. Overall, I would recommend this property. The only negative was the WiFi was very poor.

Beautiful 3 bedroom home in the heart of downtown Hilo. We could walk to the grocery store, farmers' market, and downtown shops. Terrific! We would definitely stay here again. Management responded quickly and graciously to any request and we appreciated the goodies left as a welcome gift! Mahalo!
Great place within walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. Clean and comfortable with all the modern amenities. Host had great communication and gave us some extra goodies!
We are a group of 6 seniors who just needed a one-night stay to break up the trip from Kailua-Kona to Hilo. The home was so cute that we wished we were able to stay longer. Doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in it's a very pleasant surprise of cuteness and cleanliness. Would highly recommend.
My Ohana came over from Kona and Oahu to celebrate my UH Hilo college graduate son This past weekend. All of our celebrating had to be done indoors as Hilo was raining, and hoy did this place for the bill! Living room had so many comfortable seating areas, including the bar and a humongous dining room table, and with the open concept we could all be together. Kitchen had all the amenities including coffee! We also took advantage of the gas grill. The location was awesome, grocery store on the same block, and also within walking distance of charming downtown Hilo with its museums, art, clothing, and knick-knack stores and wonderful restaurants and bars. Ice ponds are close by and a favorite among locals. Two ladies kitchen also a block away. IYKYK
We had a wonderful time. The location was very convenient and close to everything in downtown Hilo. The place was very quiet and the parking was easy. It was also nice to have additional parking on the side of the house. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was as described, it was incredibly clean, comfortable, quiet, and well stocked for our stay in Hilo. There was plenty of space for everyone, and check in was a breeze. Highly recommend and we would stay here again.
The house was well equipped and welcoming. We appreciated the thoughtful touches. It was conveniently located and we liked being able to walk to restaurants. There were some homeless people at the nearby park but we did not have any issues walking by.We enjoyed our stay!
This is a very well-appointed 3-BR house near the water in Hilo. Communication with the host was easy and the check-in process was simple. The house is clean and quite spacious with a huge living room with dining area. The bedrooms have window-unit air conditioners. The rest of the house is cooled by fans. Even with the windows open, it was warm in the evenings but cooled down in the mornings. The kitchen is stocked with basic appliances and cookware. If you plan on cooking, plan on bringing all of your own spices, sugar, creamer, etc... The house is on a relatively quiet street just a few blocks from some of the shopping areas and farmers market. It's more urban and less touristy than other areas of the island but we felt safe the entire time.

We had booked only one night here on the Hilo side of the island, but had such a great experience that I’d easily stay longer in the future. The house was lovely, great interior decor, everything we could need, lots of little touches that just made it feel like home. Getting in and communicating was super easy and we had a wonderful time. The Outrigger house was exactly as described. Checkin and checkout process was easy. House is in a great location from grocery store, restaurants, and shops. House was well equipped, clean, and in a quiet location (except for the frogs at night but it was like white noise after a while). Plenty of things to do in Hilo, we wish we would have stayed a few more days.
Loved staying at this property!. It is beautifully decorated and very welcoming with set table and treats! The property exceeded our expectaions. It was perfectly located, very comfortable. Recommend staying here 100%.

The house was perfect for our needs. VERY clean and well equipped..... we loved the availability of of having nice beach chairs and a beach umbrella. We will definitely be looking at staying again when we return to Hilo in the future.
This house was spacious and nicely decorated plus there were yummy treats and coffee left for us! Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. AC units in rooms were perfect and the weather was mild enough to just use the ceiling fans in the living room.
We picked up some hot sauce and spice mixes at the farmers market and local shops for cooking and the basics (salt, pepper, olive oil, and soy sauce were provided).
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay!

This VRBO was gorgeous, clean and well appointed. Everything we needed was there including a full size laundry. Owners welcomed us with a yummy basket of local goodies. Very comfortable stay! Thank you!
We really enjoyed this house for our stay in Hilo. Clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Downtown Hilo is a little gritty, and it extends a bit to this neighborhood, but we never felt unsafe and appreciated the ability to take a break from the car and walk to restaurants and the farmers market. Recommend Ola Brew and Richardson Beach Park highly for those coming to the area. The hosts were responsive, accommodated our requests, and had the house very nicely set up for our stay. The kitchen is well stocked, allowing us to make many breakfasts, lunches, and a big family dinner while we were there. Highly recommend if you want to be walkable to restaurants and shopping in Hilo.

We use VRBO several times a year all over the US. This is one of the few times I’ve wondered if the owner would sell it to me. Nicely done.
We are two couples who spent 3 nights at The Outrigger and it was everything as listed and shown in the pictures. It had all the comforts of home, and a great place to relax after long days of touring around. It's in a safe location and within walking distance to downtown. Simon was so easy to deal with, gave great restaurant suggestions and responded right away to our questions. We definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
