Great stay. Traveled to Maui with my 80 year old mother. We were both very comfortable in this suite, which has a front row seat to Maui sunsets. The grounds are spotless and just busy enough with people to make this a laid back and peaceful experience.
Worked well as home base for family Maui vacation. Kihei is convenient to the entire island.
We had a great vacation! I always recommend them Maui Sunset. We have stayed in many units at this complex for over a decade. For us, you cannot beat the location and the grounds. It has a great lawn area and beachfront for watching sunsets and letting the kids run around. It’s located near shopping centers with everything you need and great dining options in Kihei and Wailea. Some of our favorites are Tommy Bahamas, The Cool Cat Cafe (this was the kids favorite for sure), and happy hour at Maui Brewing Co. was great. Moose McGillicuddy’s is also a family favorite. We recommend Ulua Beach for snorkeling, and the unit comes with beach chairs and beach towels, you can rent everything you need to snorkel or boogie board at the complex. The unit was very nice and had everything we needed. We loved the extra large lanai with the beautiful sunsets and table to eat dinner. You really cannot beat the view! It’s perfect for morning coffee and wine/drinks in the afternoon. Communication was great with the owners. We really enjoyed our stay.
I would stay here again! Easy to check in, property very quiet, felt very safe, plenty of room in the condo, kitchen is stocked well, plenty of towels, blankets, beach chairs, and a great patio to drink coffee on. It’s central to everything on the island, which made it easy to travel everywhere. We did road to Hana, traveled to Lahaina several times, traveled to Haleakala, traveled to Wailea-Makena several times and so many other places that made it easier being in Kihei than anywhere else. This condo is a diamond in the rough!!
We had a wonderful time. The condo location offered a wonderful location and was close to plenty of places to explore, surf and eat! This was the most memorable vacation we have ever had!
Loved the property. We had a few hiccups regarding check-in due to "laid back" communication, but nothing major. The property is very nice with a beautiful view, including wonder views of sunsets. A magnificent, private beach and lots to do around the property, plus the location is excellent.Only complaint is that the floors could use a better wash/mopping. Other than that, the suite was wonderful! Definitely would stay here again!

Very nice condo and pleased with our stay. Property was very clean, nice comfy bedrooms, well stocked kitchen. Everything worked well, location is very near to great restaurants, shopping, beaches and of course with a great view. Really liked the large deck area. Concierge service at the condo was very useful, we were able to book Haleakala sunrise tour with them.Enjoyed the hot tub and beach walk everyday.Overall a well kept condo, perfect for a Maui trip.
This condo was perfect for our family vacation. The view and the grounds at Maui Sunset were exquisite and were a great space for our kids to enjoy. The pool, hot tub and tennis courts were a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset at the end of a long day of exploring Maui. The location was perfect for getting to different parts of the island and we enjoyed walking the beach and seeing turtles close by. The condo itself was just the right size for our family and gave us plenty of space. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils and pots and pans. We were able to cook and eat in for many of our meals. The deck was an amazing space to relax and enjoy the view. I highly recommend this condo for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation in Maui.
The property is beautiful. Lanai facing the ocean and pool area. Saw many whales from lanai. The condo is very comfortable. We had a small glitch with TVs and owner had it resolved in a few hours Highly recommend this place
This is our second time staying at Maui Sunset and first time in this unit, and we loved it! The large lanai was incredible! Beautiful views and lots of room! Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, and great location!
The host was very responsive and helpful. The condo was better than it appeared in the photos! The lanai is amazing. Really amazing. We spent the majority of our time there. We watched whales breaching in the ocean. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. Condo was clean and stocked with almost everything we could need. The pool and ocean were very easy and accessible. Check in and check out was easy. Highly recommend!! I would love to stay here again!
This condo was perfect for our family of 5! The location was great for everything we wanted to do while on Maui. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony and great beach for rest/relaxation time. We even saw green sea turtles on a short walk down the beach! And whales splashing in the water from our balcony! Wonderful place to stay!
The condo was awesome. Only concerns were that the door key pad’s number “1” is loose and fell off a couple of times. It would have been helpful for TV instructions, as it was a tad challenging finding how to navigate finding football games being shown. The volume button did not work, probably the remote needed new batteries. Great condo and property. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

I stayed at the Maui Sunset with my family of 5 (3 teens) and we had an amazing time. The location is perfect. There is a large lanai to eat breakfast on every morning with the view of the ocean. The location is near the pool and sports courts as well so it was easy to see my teens as they ventured out. The security guard (Jim) was fantastic. I had a 230am pickup for a sunrise tour with two of my children and he stayed with us until the bus picked us. He was always walking the grounds which made us feel even more safe in an already safe area.
Lastly, Katie was very easy to get ahold of and quick to accommodate any needs that arose. There were beach chairs, pool towels and a pool floater for us to use which was really nice.
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely search this condo if we make it back to Maui.
My family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful and convenient location. With a kitchen, washer and dryer, balcony overlooking the ocean, we were so relaxed and had a great time here. Restaurants and grocery stores close by. Beaches just a short drive away. I would not mind coming back here again in the near future!

Our family, including two teenage daughters, stayed here for a week during June/July 2024. While the building has some age on it, you CAN NOT beat the view and the location.
This location in the Maui Sunset property is one of the prime locations that faces out toward the ocean. The views in the photos in the listing are perfectly accurate. We loved that there is a park area right in front of the property -- so Kihei locals used the park, tennis courts, dog park, etc. We enjoyed the people-watching and seeing all of the cute pups, since we missed ours at home.
The unit itself provided all that we needed. The AC in the bedrooms was very important to us and worked well. FWIW, the bedroom windows look out onto the outdoor walkway and so it felt odd to leave windows or drapes open to allow for a breeze. So we definitely used the AC at night when we went to bed.
The lanai/balcony was nice, with plenty of seating, and was shaded and received a nice breeze for most of the day. We enjoyed coffee every morning out there.
The beach out in front of Maui Sunset was perfect. Often oceanfront locations will have a nice view but the beach will be very rocky and hard/impossible to access. NOT TRUE here. You could walk for miles on the beaches in front of Maui Sunset and swim/snorkel/SUP all you wanted. There were turtles in the water with us almost all the time. There is also a lot of shade from trees overhanging the beach, which we loved. We'd definitely come back!

Spacious and comfortable with a great lanai. We loved how the sliding doors opened up. The complex has clean grills and a great pool. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets.
The property was outstanding in all respects. The view of sunsets every night from the balcony was amazing. The pool and jacuzzi were a great break after a day of sightseeing all over the island. Without a doubt the best VRBO property we have ever stayed in.
First time in Maui with our college kids. Loved the condo!!! Highly recommend for families. Clean, well stocked, comfy beds and living room. The views from the large balcony were our favorite! Just like the photos- you are right by the pool, tennis, shuffleboard, putting green(enjoyed it all). The beach is walkable & swimmable & right there! Lots of stores and restaurants within a short drive or 15 min walk. Easy parking. 30mins from airport- easy drive.
Quiet and friendly owners & guests. The grounds are VERY well kept. The open herb garden was unexpected!!
The large washer/dryer were great. Plenty of shower & beach towels. Our only challenge was figuring out the a/c wall units in each room and instructions & keep them running. But we only really used them at night bc there’s a lovely breeze.
My college guys said the gym was very small & basic- just FYI.
Would highly recommend and totally stay here again!
Our family of 6 stayed at this condo for 10 amazing days! The condo was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. With 6 of us there, the two full bathrooms were a plus. The large lanai was beautifully oriented to view the sunset every night and had a perfect balance of sun and shade to enjoy many outdoor gatherings.
The air conditioning worked well and we found that opening the bedroom windows and screen patio doors at night let a cool breeze blow through the condo that was better than AC.
Very easy to get from the parking lot to the condo and from the condo to all the amenities of the resort. The pool is very well maintained and not overly chlorinated which is nice. The beach is just a short walk across the grounds and a lovely spot for sunrise and sunset. Tennis courts, shuffle board, bbq area and even a putting green were all convenient and well maintained.
The resort itself was quiet and everyone was respectful. The pool area housed a cabinet with
Tennis rackets, shuffle board, games, puzzles and books that was thoughtful.
The location is truly perfect and central to everything, could not have been better!
The decor in the condo is a bit out dated but because everything is so well set up this was quickly overlooked.
Marilyn is super helpful and quick to respond to any request. A top notch host!

This condo was the perfect place for our family to use as a homebase to explore south Maui. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the view from the lanai was exactly what I had hoped for! We loved the kitchen garden with herbs, the live music on Tuesday nights, and the pool. Walking on the beach in the morning we were lucky enough to see a lot of turtles, including one on the sand. The property manager was very responsive and addressed any issues we had very quickly. I would definitely stay here again!

This Maui Sunset condo was our home away from home for 3 weeks. We loved the location of the condo in the complex, huge lanai and all of the amenities of home. The complex had impeccable grounds and a great place to spend the day when not out and about. Marilyn, the owner, was always quick to respond to our emails and a pleasure to deal with. We will be back!
My family of 5 stayed out the Maui Sunset and were very pleased with the location. The condo provided fit all of our needs and the property grounds were very well maintained. The ocean view was stunning from our balcony and the sunsets each night were amazing. Location was great with multiple restaurants very close and the ocean was very swimmable for myself and my kids!
