This second floor air conditioned oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought after ocean side of the elevator, and in the "3 stack", which is one of the closest to the ocean one bedroom condos in all of Kihei or Wailea. It has a spectacular view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. 5 bath units (680 sq ft). The view of the ocean and its abundant wildlife is absolutely breathtaking. It was completely remodeled and refurnished in August 2016, and is spectacular in every way! 5 bath units in the building.
The entire unit has porcelain flooring. All the cabinetry was custom made on island. It is cherry stained maple, and all counters and vanities are topped with a very unique, light colored granite. All lighting in all rooms is controlled by dimmer switches.
The oversized gourmet kitchen is spectacular! It is fully equipped with stainless steel Professional Series appliances, including side by side fridge/freezer with water and ice, flat top stove with five burners and warming drawer, quiet dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, four slice toaster and blender. There is also a large selection of higher end pots and pans, baking pans, high quality knife set and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery. The corner sink design allows for maximum efficiency and working space.
The living room has a traditional sofa (no sofa bed). There is also a large 55" flat screen LCD HD color TV with an HD cable box c/w DVR and DVD player, and of course, a multi speed ceiling fan.
The dining area has an oversized round rattan glass table with 4 matching tropical armchairs.
The large, private lanai has a glass bistro table with two swivel rocker chairs - a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner!
The entry has a large built in, granite topped buffet with cabinets and a desk area.
The bedroom has a high quality pillow top King size bed, high quality bedding, multi speed ceiling fan, Hawaiian style rattan furniture, plantation shutters, oversized closet, telephone and a wall mounted 32" flat screen LCD TV.
The master bathroom has a full size walk in shower. The vanity has a granite countertop. The matching half bath has been finished to the same high standard.
This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are not supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays.
The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!
This unit is an excellent choice for couples or singles who are looking for the best accommodation the Kihei Surfside has to offer; a spacious, comfortable high end oceanfront condo with a spectacular location and view of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains.

Great location. Very clean. Kitchen was well appointed, and it was helpful to have access to the barbeque. The bed really needs to be replaced, and air conditioning would have been welcome. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Perfect for a few people to stay and proximity to ocean is amazing. Amenities to cook and grill near the ocean was nice. Beach towels and snorkeling gear was a nice addition too. Would recommend staying there, view from balcony overlooking the ocean was truly beautiful. Watched whales right from the balcony with binoculars that were included.

The condo at Kihei Surfside was just as described. We loved the
Balcony, you call lanai, from there we were able to view whales and the ocean roar. Having meals there and got wonderful views of the sunset and sunrise. Location was great being central in the island. This allowed us to do various activities within driving distance and of course being right on the beach was a major plus.
We would stay there again and give it a thumbs up👍

Overall was a great experience. No fault to the property but my own overlooking when booking, there is no AC at this property but had ample fans. However, this does lead to a bit muggy feeling and found mold through bathroom drains and difficult to drain the water in our unit. Bit outdated furnishings and cushions. Best part was all the extras supplied at the unit (ie, coolers, beach towels, scuba gear, binoculars)! Would still recommend if you’re mostly traveling out and about during the daytime and don’t mind the bathroom condition.
