Loved having a private walk out lanai. Visited in Feb so small beach area was not avail. Beach towels were avail. Could have used more bath towels. Two were provided. Everything clean comfortable and enjoyable. We had a car so getting to from places was easier and we explored more of the island that way. Reeny was easy to communicate with. Super relaxing, the only draw back was the the ocean surge was high and the small beach was not accessible.
The location is great to get to snorkeling locations and awesome food.
The location was perfect and we loved the well kept landscaping which made for pleasant evenings and sunsets. It was nice to have beach chairs, towels, umbrella and snorkel gear. Snorkel gear needs a new mask (it doesn’t seal). The room is dated and small but still good for a party of 2 (not more). Recommendations: Get central AC if possible. We were fine but would have been hot in the summer. Bedroom needs an updated furnishing…especially mattress. There were a few small roaches in the bathroom. The front door upper screen was broken and fell twice. The front could be painted which would really help aesthetically. I would recommend wall mounted tvs to create more space. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This is a good place to stay if you don’t want to stay in an overpriced resort but still want to be on the water. You don’t get the cleaning services or amenities of a resort but it is a good place to lay your head and relax after a day out on the island. You are close to plenty of shopping, dining, and many beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is perfectly located to watch Humpback whales frolic in the ocean and beautiful sunsets with no impeded view. The laundry facility, pool, parking and filtered water are very close and convenient. The grounds are well maintained and you can BBQ while watching the sun set and whales head back for the evening. When conditions are right, paddle boarding/surfing and snorkeling are just in front of the property. There is a sea turtle sanctuary also in front of the property and some will frequently beach themselves nearby to bask in the sun. The owner is very responsive to questions/requests and staff on site are friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

Waterfront property, amazing small cove with lots of turtles as it’s a preserve. Nicely updated appointed condo. The property is well taken care of and landscaping is beautiful. It’s close to Kaanapali and Napili and Lahaina is just down the road. Great value for the money. Would stay here again.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Condo is new , clean and has everything you could need. We saw sea turtles and whales right out the back patio. Close to restaurants and shopping. The grounds were well maintained with all kinds of beautiful flowers. Everyone was friendly and respectful of each others space.

The complex was beautiful and well kept. The unit was on the ground floor and we could walk out to the edge where the rocky beach housed several large turtles. The unit was fully furnished with many kitchen tools for food prep. The outside grills were meticulously cleaned every day.
The view from the porch was spectacular with whales spouting and breaching for our daily pleasure. Many stand up boarders were out almost daily, except when the wind was too strong.

We loved the outlook and location of this apartment. Such a beautiful view with the sound of the sea even reaching the bedroom. We would explore Maui all day and then go to the beach steps from the apartment and swim, often with turtles. The apartment was quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed.
We throughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect….far enough away from Lahaina that it’s very laid back yet close enough that you can be there in 5-10 minutes. Cute unit in a very nice complex. The owner was great.

This was the perfect spot for us to retreat to at night after spending all day at a resort with the rest of the family.
We appreciated the higher quality paper products and kitchen setup, which was a lot better than the family had at the Westin.
We liked having air conditioning in the bedroom, but if you are bothered by the sound, bring some earplugs and you should be fine.

It doesn’t get any better than this! My husband and I have rented several units here at Kuleana and this one is the best! It’s clean, newly renovated a few years ago. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and the beach is just steps away. Aloha!!
Beautiful view with the ocean steps outside your patio. The bed was fantastic, bathroom was newly updated, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We wish we would’ve been able to stay longer and enjoy all the amenities offered at this resort. The reason I am rating it a little bit lower in one area is because it said it had a safe to put your valuables in, however the safe was not in working condition. Also there were some differences in the details the owner sent us versus the ones listed on Vrbo. Nothing really big, however there needs to be some consistency in the description. We would definitely stay at this place again! It was everything we needed in paradise!
If you’re looking for a quiet, non crowded, private location, with excellent security, while still close driving distance to restaurants and beaches, this is the place. The unit is on ground level, with private back porch and ocean view. This unit is very clean and up to date with a nice little but full kitchen and bathroom shower. This condo has only a window AC unit in the bedroom which can be noisy at night but it adequately cools the entire unit.
I asked about the beach photo in advance, so I was not surprised that there was extremely limited beach space behind the condo complex-it’s mostly rocks and nothing like the photo, but that was ok for us cause we preferred to drive to multiple beaches to snorkel and explore. After all that, what a treasure of a place to start your day with breakfast on your back porch staring at the islands of Lanai and Molokai, explore for the day, then come home in the evening and relax on the back porch with a glass of wine and use the exceptionally well maintained grill area to cook some steaks while enjoying the amazing view. Extremely happy with our choice.

This was a great spot for my wife and I during our visit to Maui. The location and proximity to the beach is awesome. You are steps away from from the water and there is great snorkeling. We were able to snorkel with 4 sea turtles that were feeding in the water right off the shore. Unit was nice and as pictured. Would definitely recommend.
We had at great stay at Kuleana. Beautiful view, room as advertised in photos, great beach equipment available. AC in bedroom works great. Lovely stay.
I decided to book this location since this was A familiar spot to me. It offers some of the best views on Maui and superb snorkeling. The condo was perfect for us and I am so glad we stayed there.
