Nicely kept property that is perfectly located just south of Kailua-Kona…everything was as advertised! Would love a return visit someday.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property has a nice hot tub, pool and BBQ area. It is located right on the water and the view from the lanai is beautiful. You can walk to a number of restaurants and shops. The condo itself is spacious and has all the needed amenities such as beach chairs, snorkel equipment and a cooler. It was great having air conditioning, a dishwasher, and washer and dryer. We also appreciated the very clear instructions provided by the owner.
Great views and A/C in living room and bedroom a big plus. The surf is right outside the lanai and the high top table a huge plus. Bedroom and bathroom were quite small but functional. Also a bit of a trek to the unit, but if you park on the 2nd floor indoor garage, it makes it a bit closer and easier when moving luggage.Used the beach chairs and beach towels which were great. Go to the four seasons for snorkeling (rent from Boss Frogs) - it was amazing - great facilities and felt like we were in an aquarium (snorkel along the shore reef) with many many fish and turtles!Its an easy walk into town. Walked to the dock and back twice each morning (4.6 miles) which made for a pleasant way to start the day.Shannon (host) was very accomodating and easy to work with and provided lots of ideas of where to go and snorkel. We just go back to Tampa Bay, FL and can't wait to come back!
This is a well maintained unit that is tastefully decorated. The bed linens, bath towels and beach towels were all high quality. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you needed to BBQ down at the pool or cook in the unit. We really appreciated the tall lanai furniture that allowed us to easily whale watch. Also this unit has a locking screen front door which allowed great air flow so we never had to turn on the AC. But speaking of AC this is one of only a handful of units that has AC in the bedroom. Parking is first come first serve however there was never a problem finding a space. But don't forget to put your parking permit on the dash be cause onsite management does check and leave violation notices.The hosts and maintenance people for this unit were very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be renting this unit again!

Love Kona Reef we stay here every year. This particular unit had everything we needed and was very clean, updated and comfortable. Highly recommend this unit!
We booked this on short notice because our dissatisfaction with the Marriott in Waikoloa. Overlooking the water, well equipped, great location close to Kailua/Kona/all amenities. Cannot recommend this home more highly. Hope to return in ‘25.

Easy to book and great location. So many perfect touches to make this condo comfortable. Great furniture and decor. Extras like boogie boards, beach chairs, welcome chocolates, and first class view of ocean. The cookware is top quality. We never turn on tv while on vacation but i bet it is good also. Would love to return to this particular condo often!
Very nice condo. Beautiful sunsets from lanai. Would stay again for sure. A/C in bedroom is something not all units at Kona Reef have so greatly appreciated.
