Our stay was very nice! The property had a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher. The living room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The deck had a beautiful view of the bay and the turtles even visited us in the bay! The bed and pillows were comfortable as well. Definitely recommend staying here.Thank you!

The views from this condo are picture perfect. Wonderful corner unit overlooking the ocean, the Kapa’a beach trail and palm trees. The condo is perfectly equipped, including extras like beach chairs. The Pono Kai Resort is well-maintained, friendly staff and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The sunrise view from the deck was a great way to start the day.
This upstairs condo is a wonderful corner unit overlooking the ocean. The laid back location is within an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, bike rentals and multi-use path. Portable fans provide extra cooling if needed. The club house offers beach and pool towels and other services. We hope to stay here again.
If you like the ocean this condo is the place to be! We liked that the condo was an end unit on the third floor, so no disturbances from neighbors. The Pono Kai Resort is very clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free coffee in the reception area, the putting greens, the gym, and the pool area. Being so close to downtown Kapa’a was fun and very convenient. We rented bikes and rode the entire length of the bike path, which was in good shape.
The only reason that we didn’t give 5 stars was because some parts of the condo were not very clean and felt a bit run down. The bathroom cabinet is cracked, and the paintwork around the front door handle looks like it has not been cleaned in ages. The floor behind the bed is very dusty. The whole condo needs a deep clean.
The ocean front view is outstanding. The property has all the technology and entertainment that one needs. My only recommendation is that it was not thoroughly clean when I arrived. Overall, it looked good but once I looked into the corners and the floor, I could see that they were not touched. I also had to call maintenance to fix the screen door because it was almost impossible to move. That should’ve been checked before I arrived other than that it was an outstanding stay at a very good property.
Only complaint is the AC is only in living room. Bedroom is very hot. Owner provided 5 fans were all used.
Been to Kauai half a dozen times and stayed mostly in the Poipu area. This condo in Kapaa is in a great location and has everything you need for your stay, especially the view.
