Was not happy with the synthetic sheets on bed. Very hot to sleep in. Did not care for mirrors all around. Some dishes were dirty in the cabinet. Location was excellent, the interior of place was satisfactory.
Our first trip to Maui and what are the chances that we booked the most amazing place! It’s located in a peaceful quiet condo community that is right down the road from so many great on the beach restaurants and shopping. The location is ideal for any traveler. The condo has a beautiful large patio that overlooks the beach. Breakfast on this patio while the sun comes up is a must! I don’t know where else you can stay and see the sea turtles from your patio! The bed is incredibly comfortable and the entire condo is well appointed. Perfect for watching the sunset on the perfectly manicured lawn overlooking the ocean or a few steps away from a sandy part of the private beach to snorkel with the turtles! Absolute HEAVEN!!! We will absolutely be returning! Owner is a sweetheart that allowed us to check in early and communication was a breeze. Could not recommend high enough!
This condo has it all---great water views and views of green sea turtles and monk seals. The floor to ceiling window in the living area is extra special. We watched sea turtles from the dining table. The pool is huge and the grounds are very well-maintained. The complex is quiet. Perfect for a couple.

This condo has the most stunning location and views! Huge windows give one the feeling of being totally surrounded by the ocean and the sounds of the waves. The sea turtles come every afternoon to feed on the lava rocks. We snorkeled right in front of the condo. Absolutely the most beautiful spot in Maui.
This place was amazing! The view from the property is unmatched. I was very happy with the cleanliness upon arrival as well. And to top it off, the bed was VERY comfortable.Thank you for a great stay!

It's exactly as it appears in the listing. The bed is very comfortable. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the lanai doors - they were poorly cleaned and badly waterspotted so seeing out the window was difficult. Eileen was great to work with and communicated with us in a timely and efficient manner.
We loved sitting on the patio and looking at the ocean. We saw sea turtles by the shore. The sunsets were awesome. The grounds are well maintained. The bed was very comfortable.
Such a great find! Views from all around and just a perfect little spot! We loved it. Everything you could ever need - mini cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie board, noodles.. and more! Perfect set up for a great vacation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Being able to see and hear the ocean all day long was a treat we didn’t know we needed. The snorkeling in the bay was amazing. Lots of sea turtles! Location was close to many eateries and shopping. We met some really nice people around the condo who gave out good recommendations! Loved our stay, we will be back!
When my husband and I travel we like to go to different places and stay in different accommodations each time. This is one of the first places we've stayed where we know we would come back. It's like your own little oasis and out of the whole complex, I actually think this condo is the best of them all when you consider location on the property and the panoramic view. I am obsessed with Honu (Hawaiian green sea turtle) and we saw them from the balcony every single day popping their heads up and swimming!! What I didn't see other reviewers mention is the star gazing. Oh my gosh this place is just as beautiful at night as it is in the day. I would have slept outside if the bed inside wasn't so comfy!! Watching the moon rise while BBQing in the garden was unforgettable, and I even saw the milky way! I also loved the decor inside the condo, it's traditional and very Hawaiian so you really feel like you're soaking up the lifestyle and culture. A really really beautiful spot with the most incredible view of anywhere we've ever stayed.
*A note* to say that from the description it seems this place is in Lahaina, it isn't. While driving through Lahaina it was devastating to see the damage from the fires. But this place is through the other side.
Absolutely amazing, I searched everywhere looking for the perfect place. My now wife had never flown before and had never seen the ocean so I wanted everything to be magical. I looked for months and was fortunate enough to stumble on Eileen’s breathtaking condo. The side window is what sets this apart from everywhere else. I searched everywhere and never saw that.we enjoyed every meal there and just got lost watching the waves. We came on vacation but decided to get married because everything was so perfect. We decided to extend our stay and Eileen was fantastic. I’m so glad I went with her instead of some big company. You’re on the perfect side of the island and to prove this the Weston and ritz Carlton are right down the road. Thank you so very much Eileen for making the investment and being generous enough to share with us. Please please please do yourself a favor and do whatever it takes to stay here it’s worth whatever sacrifice you have to make. This trip has changed the way we travel and it’s all because we chose this amazing place and had this experience. Everything was described as it should be and we found she undersold the things available in the unit ie snorkeling gear, sun tan lotion, etc. the pictures don’t do it justice and we saw more sea turtles here then on our trip to turtle town. I cannot recommend this place enough it truly is something special. Thank you again Eileen so very much for everything. I’m going to tell everyone and we will definitely be back.
Lovely view right on the ocean front. We enjoyed using the shared BBQ grills at sunset. Swimming pool on site is nice as there is no calm ocean sand beach on the property front. The air conditioner is in the bedroom and does not keep the living area and kitchen cool. Pull the shades for the day!
We loved staying here and hope to again. Because it is a corner unit, it has windows on the end and the side, which is not common among Maui condos I've sees but it makes so much difference. We were literally 40 yards from the sandy beach where we could swim or snorkle. We saw at least one turtle sleeping on the beach and several in the water every day. We saw as many fish there as we did on our snorkle cruise or other bays we went to, right in front of the condo.
The kitchen had everything we needed, including some seasonings. We shopped at the ABC and Times market grocery about 1 mile down the road. Its so close to Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua, and all of the restaurants in those neighborhoods. Try to food truck park sometime too.
Getting into the unit was easy, the staff at the condo were nice, and our host was responsive when we had to ask things through the app. Even though the AC is only in the bedroom, we could lock the screen door and leave the deck door open to get a pretty good breeze through the unit. The only upgrade I'd suggest is maybe heavy curtains on the western windows because the glare was pretty strong in the late afternoon until sunset.
There was some sunscreen that other guests had used because you must use reef-friendly sunscreen on Maui. You should know that even the major brands sold on Maui are reef safe, so you don't need to buy the super expensive kind like we did.
We stayed at this property for a week to celebrate a 60th Birthday. We thought the property was beautiful. The description of the property was accurate and do give it 5 stars for that. The grounds are immaculate, and the community pool is very nice. The condo itself is very old and we knew that, and we would have gave 5 stars all around, but condo was not clean, mirrors and appliances and balcony doors looked like they had not been cleaned in quite awhile. The furniture is old and cushion covers need to be replaced or maybe atleast washed. We agree with the reviews about the stove, for some reason all the settings and markings are gone, so if you are not familiar with a electric glass top stove you could not use it. We did alot of exploring and enjoying the beautiful island, so did eat out for the most part so it was not a issue for us. The condo is right on the ocean, spectacular sunset views, but there is just a very small rocky beach. No beach is no problem though since there are so many other beaches to visit. Sorry cannot give this condo a all 5 star rating. I think it could be the best vacation rental with some much needed updating and cleaning. Eileen the host was very easy to communicate with in booking and answering questions before we arrived. Had a few concerns about the property and let Eileen know and hope she takes care of them, would make a big difference in our rating.
My husband and I stayed at Eileen’s beautiful condo for 2 weeks, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary ( 2 years late lol). The views from everywhere are unbeatable! We saw turtles and whales every day from the lanai, and an endangered Hawaiian monk seal beached herself for a nap on the small sandy area! The Kuleana is in a great location for all west Maui beaches and restaurants as well. We highly recommend the condo for all of your vacation needs!

Beautiful views great security, rugs need to be replaced with rubber bottoms, slip too easy. Ocean front,7 steps-good rails.some blew conch shells at sunset. Bed comfortable. Need to work on stove controls, almost invisible,great balcony. Would definitely stay there again.
What an amazing location. The view and the lanai were our favorite place to sit and watch the whales and sea turtles every morning and evening. We had everything we needed. The beach chairs were so great to have for daily trips to the beach.
