We stayed for one week and everything was just as it needed to be. First, the nuts and bolts....The owners were extremely accommodating, all appliances are updated and in working order, the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, cutlery and dining needs, furniture was sensible and clean. Good water pressure in showers. OK, now for the actual vacation part: The location has everything a tourist needs within 2 blocks BUT you're not in some multi high rise condo mini city, you have some endemic space at this location. The experience here puts you in a relaxed environment yet your still close enough to any action you seek. Walk right out the elevator and go into the ocean to swim with sea turtles. Not having AC is OK! The breeze coming in is all you need just like everyone said.
We loved our stay, The view was outstanding. There were only a few rolls of TP so could have been a few more for 4 adults, When I made the reservation I missed that there was no Air conditioning. I usually always want that. It worked out fine, there was a nice breeze.
A very well maintain Condo. We love the place and have stayed here several times. It is well located on the Island with many things to do near by. No shortage of places to eat. We like to thank Karoline and Paul for the use of there place. We highly recomend it
This is the best ocean view and it is convenient to all Kihei has to offer.
This is the best location in Kihei for local shops and restaurants. The view from the lanai was spectacular. We also enjoyed the rooftop garden. Paul was a fantastic host, reaching out to confirm arrangements and to answer questions. Having 2 master suites was a bonus ensuring privacy when desired. For beachside activities there were tons of toys and equipment. .
The owners are very easy to work with. The room comes with beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, and snorkeling gear. The condo is located near a great natural food store, lots of restaurants and its a very short walk to two different beaches! beachebeachesWewonderwonderful time.
Condo has everything you need to cook. Roof top get for sunset and grilling. Walk to beach. Great place to stay. No AC but most days there are trade winds. You can enjoy the sunset from the condo.
Great location for snorkeling and seeing the sea turtles. The host was very responsive to any questions or concerns.
This place was perfect for us! We left the windows open and kept the fans on and we were totally comfortable. I much preferred the ocean air to an AC unit anyway. Everything we needed was readily available whether it was for the beach or to prepare a meal. Proximity to beaches and restaurants was a real appeal and did not disappoint. Paul was great with his communication, checking in was easy, and we never had an issue with finding a parking space in the lot. I would rent this place again if ever given the opportunity!!
What a fabulous week! Everything about this condo was perfect - they had all the beach equipment, plenty of comfortable seating and you can't beat the view. Would definitely book here again!
Great location-we loved that we had easy walking distance to two beaches directly downstairs from the condo. The turtles were so active and we saw turtles from the lanai and from the beach every single day of our 7 night stay!
Pros: The amount of gear that was available in the room! Wish we'd checked the closet before renting snorkel gear, because they had it! The boogie boards and chairs were great to have and we used them daily. Loved having the laundry in the room as well, and made for a great trip home with mostly clean clothes. Spices in the cabinet were so nice to have as well as all dishes/ziplocks/tupperware for packing lunches for the day. It all made for so much convenience!
Cons: the condo as a whole is definitely dated. We were warned about the lack of AC but it definitely got hot a few nights. We knew going in, but I think because we all run hot, we probably wouldn't stay here again just because of this, especially in June. Everything else was lovely, and the owners did a great job of supplying fans, and we had the trade winds come in, but coming from Oregon, we like to sleep cold, and that was on us for not going with an AC unit.
Overall, a wonderful holiday, and watching my son's face the first time he saw turtles from the lanai, or sitting together watching the sunset each night, I am so grateful for our time in Kihei!
We loved the location of this condo. The snorkeling was great right behind the resort. The nearby beach was clean and not crowded. The condo had a great view and a lovely patio to enjoy those views. It was well-stocked with snorkel gear, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and boogie boards. The host was fantastic at communicating and making sure our needs were met. Would absolutely rent from this host again!
As noted in the listing, the condo does NOT have air conditioning. Several reviews said that they did fine without the AC by utilizing all the ceiling fans and opening windows, so we figured that would be fine. That worked well for us during the day, but we found it was a little too warm for our comfort when sleeping. I think we just really prefer a cooler sleeping environment. It was 80 degrees in the day and 70 degrees at night. Just providing that context for others to make a judgment on if they think they will need AC for sleeping comfort or not. But the condo itself was clean and in a superb location! Highly recommend if you are okay without AC.
Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed Pauls condo. With our long stay we enjoyed just staying in the condo and relaxing. There is lots to do near by and many excellent placrs to eat. The condo is very clean and well maintained. We will come back for sure.
We've been lucky to stay in Maui many times with our kids, and this place was by far the best! I cannot say enough how great this location is. The ocean view really could not be any better, and while it would be good from any unit in this building I think this would have to be the best one. Sunsets from the lanai are a real treat, or from the rooftop patio where there are 4 Weber bbq's and lots of seating. The beach is super close with Kamaole I / Charlie Young just steps away, and there are tons of great places to eat just across the street or a short walk away. And of all the places we've stayed in Maui, Kihei is a really convenient launch point to reach other places on the island like heading up-country, travelling to Hana, visiting the shops in Wailea or going to the beaches in Kaanapali. The unit itself was also very clean, the amenities in the kitchen were well stocked, and it was such a treat to hear the ocean from the master bedroom every night. I miss that so much. Paul has a very special place here, that we hope to stay at again in the future. He was terrific to deal with, and made things very easy for us. Would highly recommend this place.
We had a great time staying at this condo--the owner had prepared and thought of pretty much everything that would be needed to arrive and immediately start enjoying Maui and the ocean. The condo is centrally located in South Maui and everything you might need is close by. We would highly recommend this property!
I would give this unit a ten if I could . Very clean and comfortable , better equipped than my own kitchen , amazing views with non stop whale action .The owner is very easy to work with and responds quickly to questions . Hope to stay here again .
This was our third time staying at this unit of the Royal Mauian. Please see my past reviews for more details. Overall the Condo is excellent and is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It has been nicely upgraded and had everything we needed. The location of the complex is amazing with wonderful ocean views and a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Communication with the owner is always very prompt and helpful.
