The views are absolutely beautiful! For the most part, we were able to get by without a car. There are a lot of conveniences within walking distance. There are a few things in the apartment that could be updated—like A/C units and mattresses. We stayed there for over a month and it would’ve been really nice to have access to some cleaning supplies since there is no periodic cleaning service (which would be preferable.) Toward the end of the stay, we certainly could’ve used some glass cleaner, a toilet brush and Lysol. The washer and dryer at the Ilikai are three dollars each, so fresh linens come with more than a time commitment. All things considered, the views are really amazing and I may have cried a little when it was time to leave.
The view was great but I had to clean the dishes. And mop floor
Loved the views!! Amazing. Property was a little dated but to be honest it did not bother us one bit. It was a good size condo and we were extremely happy. The Ilikai has loads to offer and the pool was fantastic. The only problem is it’s booked next year when we want it. Would recommend to anyone.
This was a great place to stay. Plenty of room for our size.
First - the place was CLEAN!
Second - the VIEW was GREAT!!!!
Third - The LOCATION was PERFECT for us.
We came for a conference. The host hotel was the Hilton Hawaiian Village - this was just next door. So we had all the advantages but w/o the excessive cost.
The condominium itself had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The lay out of the condo is very nice - giving you nice city and ocean views. There is enough space in the common areas and two bedrooms to be quite comfortable. The beds was comfortable. The views from the bedrooms and common areas were nice and you could see the ocean from all. Both bedrooms have a balcony attached.
The kitchen is small and dated but is very clean and have everything you need - stove with oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave. There is no icemaker but there are ice trays and on the lobby level a market where one could buy bags of ice (we never needed to). Also, the bathrooms are of average size but while very clean have not been updated. So it's the same tile on the walls from years ago and there is some discoloration of the tub related to years of use. But the force of the shower water is great and hot water supply was great - we never ran out and never had a problem.
The lobby has a wonderful ice cream shop, a market with most everything you need, a clothing store, shops for purchasing supplies for water sports etc. Anything not available there, you could walk over to the Hilton village and get it.
Even though this building is older it is updated. Further, in the individual condo this are plenty of electrical outlets and the host has provided extra cord with multiple outlets.
We did not cook but we had all the dishes we needed. There were plenty of plates, glasses and mugs for coffee and tea. There where coffee makers and other appliances, as well as, pots and pans.
We made use of doordash for our meals when we did not eat out. It worked very well for us.
In short, we thing this condo is great. Everything was very clean. We had all we needed for a great stay!!! The Amenities including the views where great!
I highly recommend this place!!!
As former kama’Aina we enjoyed staying in this location - especially on Friday night when the weekly fireworks display draws hundreds of people to the area.
The unit itself is a little rundown but overall very comfortable.
