OCEAN FRONT, one bedroom unit which has been redecorated top to bottom. from the furniture to the bamboo drapes, which give the whole place a warm, fresh feeling. We used sand style tile to hide the "beach" sand and dirt. :-)
The new granite counter is called solaris and is a beautiful, sunny gold and browns. This kitchen has been renovated with all new stainless appliances. It is a beautiful gourmet kitchen, where you can prepare a wonderful meal with the view and sound of the ocean as your backdrop. it is also fresh and clean feeling. The old bathtub was removed and replaced with a wonderful rain-shower head and beautiful tile with glossy highlights. The colors simulate the ocean and it is just a great new bathroom - top to bottom. We have put quiet rock throughout on the ceilings and some common walls such as the bathroom and bedroom. We also built a wains-coating wall in the bedroom to also mitigated the sound from the adjoining unit! The curtains in the bedroom are good for total black-out and sound from the path outside.
The Pono Kai Resort enjoys a fantastic location along the eastern coastline of Kauai, known as the coconut coast, because of the large palm trees that line the coast. From this central location on the island, visitors can easily explore Princeville to the north, Poipu to the south, and other hikes and trails on the island in a timely fashion.
Visitors staying at the Pono Kai Resort will enjoy an assortment of onsite activities such as the onsite pool and hot tub, lighted tennis courts and croquet lawn, shuffleboard, putting green, work-out room, BBQ facilities, and activity desk for booking on-island adventures. Our favorite amenity is easy to access the beachfront paved walking/bike trail that fronts the property and coastline.

Loved the Condo! I went with my elderly mom and being on the first floor and having A/C was perfect. Had a comfortable bed and everything we needed. The only negative was the fact that the drinkware took up 3 cupboards (over 50 glasses) so there was no cupboard space for groceries. Other than that, it was perfect.

This was a great place for a visit to Kaua’i. Beautiful unit in a nice resort, with convenient access to the bike path and ocean. The included bikes and beach gear are a nice touch as well. Lots of good local restaurants & food trucks, and the general location is central with easy access to the northern and southern parts of the island.

We've stayed at Pono Kai several times and this unit was the nicest of all having been remodeled and being on the ground level puts the Ocean seconds away and such a beautiful view.

We loved the condo - it was beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice. The place was very clean, the kitchen had everything you would want. The host has thought of everything! And the view was gorgeous! The property was also very nice and well maintained. The location on the island was super convenient for exploring the entire island. We would definitely stay here again!!

The property was very well maintained. Lots of things to do.The unit was great except for thhe two bikes parked in the front room that wasn't shown on any photos. I spent alot of money for the unit wasn't happy it was bike storage.

We had such an amazing long stay at the condo. The condo has everything you could imagine. Beach chairs, floats, boards, bikes, it really had it all! The kitchen has plenty of great pots and pans as well as other awesome utensils. We would absolutely stay here again.

We loved this condo so much! I came with my Mom for our annual mother-daughter trip. The ocean front, walkout lower level was exactly what we wanted.The condo itself was exactly as described and pictured. It actually felt like you were staying at a friend’s house instead of a rental. The owners even left bikes to use although we didn’t because it rained almost constantly while we were there. The complex was very nicely manicured and the staff were constantly cleaning. Check out time is 10am and our flight was at 10pm, the complex has a hospitality room available where you can store your luggage and take a shower before heading to the airport. It was an unexpected and very useful amenity! The town of Kapaa has a lot of dining options and shops that are easy walking distance, it was nice not having to drive everywhere. We loved everything about this condo and would definitely come back!

This condo was a perfect little place to stay. The pictures are exactly as it looks. Welcoming bottle of wine and a note from the owner. View was amazing. The condo was well supplied with everything needed even waters in the refrigerator which was a pleasant surprise after a very long day of travel. The bed was very comfortable, we normally sleep in a king however it didn’t bother us at all sleeping in the queen. AC works great, fans work great. There is nothing the owners haven’t thought of when preparing for their guests. Highly recommend.
