Overall very nice, good location, could use a deep cleaning and repainting
The location is good and the unit looks cute in the pictures but when you see it in person it is worn out, needs some maintenance. Our experience was terrible and it was my bday week and first time in Maui.
The unit was flooded upon arrival, water up to my ankles! I turned off water my self and swept the gallons of water out as much as I could. When maintenance got there, they pumped out the rest of the water and told us they'll return in the a.m to place fans. Then they entered back in the evening without notice while we were occupying (we are 2 girls in our swim wear). The maintenance man lied and said the unit was safe. The water remediation came the 3rd day(entered with out notice). I felt violated and concern at this point. The water remediation man showed us the water meter reader, the levels were high.We were forced to move and cancel all our reservations that day and Vacasa Response,"We are reimbursing you One day, waiving the cleaning fees". No Sorry, No thank you - for acting fast in stopping the water. Not even a complete refund. Dylan the manager for Vacasa was insensitive and encouraged me to leave a review and take legal actions. so I took his advice. This company is a joke and save yourself a headache and rent elsewhere.
Loved being right on the ocean. Whale watching, beach jus a few steps away. Sound of the waves was amazing.
Who doesn’t like Maui island time? We love it. Any way we can get it. That being said we have stayed on island plenty. With/without family. The location is awesome. The property grounds are clean and well kept. The major let down is the actual residence. The sheets where dirty upon arrival. Kicking off our slippers at the door, as All Alaskans do, made our feet black before getting to the bathroom. Plenty of empty holes and unpainted patches on the walls to break up the heavy soiling along the doors and door trim. Being a condo with a kitchen this is the first short term rental we’ve had that literally No condiments, oil or even spices? The utensils are wasted/bent, knives are dangerously dull, and the plastic dishes are for the lanai, but what about dining at the inside table? It wouldn’t take much to turn this property around and make it a place worth its location. Equipping the condo with decent furniture, kitchen dishes and a coat of paint would take a weekend. I hope the owner and Vacasa will get it together and show some enthusiasm for the upcoming tenants.
Loved that we could hear the waves 24/7 and could watch the whales spout and jump with binoculars from our patio. Clean with all the amenities for a comfortable stay.
Was surprised there was no A/C.
Enjoyed the views and chatting with other travelers.
The entrance to the beach is dangerous.
Nothing beats the Nohonani! I have been to the property several times over the years. Stayed in many units... this one was a little on the lacking side ... it's pretty worn (lots of walls and areas need paint and rust removed) and not many updates have been done and doesn't have a lot of the amenities the other units provide a guest. Even simple things like tissues and more than 2 beach towels. Salt and Pepper would have been a nice touch as well. Enjoyed the welcome gift from Vacasa and the extra fans certainly helped - I hear many units are getting Centeral AC I hope this is one of them.
This is an amazing place for a quite vacation on the island of Maui!! It is a very peaceful location with access to multiple beaches and also has its own personal beach right outside the patio.
Travelers need to be aware that the house does not have an air conditioning unit but is equipped with multiple fans that can help keep the house cool plus the windows open up allowing for the sea breeze and ocean waves sounds.
Parking can be pretty tight and there will be a lot of competition as everyone wants a spot. But I found that there's additional parking in a nearby apartment complex with a 1 minute walk.
The house in general is well maintained and has all the amenities needed. Overall, its a great house

Awesome views., right next to ocean.
Lovely place, great location, too expensive. With all the taxes and many fees, it ended up costing much more then a luxury, oceanfront hotel per night!
