The rental was exactly as pictured and very clean! The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the whole family. The shallow top tier of the pool is perfect for young children. We loved our stay at this location and plan to return!

This is a lovely, well-equipped home. One of the best vacation rental kitchens I've experienced in terms of appliances, cookware and utensils. My husband was surprised to find really decent surfboards in the garage and I enjoyed having use of a bicycle. There were even golf clubs. Felt like staying at the home of a thoughtful friend. The only improvement would be a larger hot water heater, but I would gladly rent this home again! Also enjoyed the convenient location and quiet surroundings. Very much appreciated the early check-in so that I could have a business Zoom meeting.
We had a wonderful time staying here. There were five of us and it was nice and spacious. Good location to restaurants and shops. We had a little trouble with the code when getting checked in but they were very responsive and helped fix the issue right away within 5 minutes. Would definitely recomend staying here!
Unfortunately, property ongoing A/C issues. NOT first guest to report.
Villa has Smart A/C unit. Initially told keep all doors & windows shut & it would blow cold when first expressed that A/C not working.
Told me if still wasn’t blowing cold the next morning to let know & they would send maintenance to “fix it”. I woke up to 83 degrees in the villa. Ventured out of the property, let property management know that, still experiencing A/C issues & that villa was in the 80’s.
The follow up I received from Kaua’i Property Management was that “the A/C is “Out of Order” & that is why we left you three fans”. By the time I got back from “being out & about” as I was on vacation & read the messages from the property management, it was already evening. I responded & indicated my confusion & frustration over the situation as “No One” had told me prior to check in or “upon arrival” that there was an issue with the A/C. Let alone, what I thought were air purifiers in the closets were actually fans.
However, as a FREQUENT user of VRBO for booking “many” vacations, I will give you the “heads up” that I did not have. If you experience ANY issues upon checking in to your VRBO vacation rental, you NEED to contact VRBO Customer Support within 24-hours of arrival. Including A/C NOT WORKING!! They will help you find another accommodation or help with appropriate compensation.
I have a medical condition, need to seek respite from heat, inconvenienced my family by retreating to their villas.
Management company was extremely unaccommodating. I requested a 2 hour early check in I was told NO. I explained I was traveling with 3 large golf bags at the back of a jeep truck and I asked if there was anywhere I could store them until check in. I was told NO. Upon check in there was a very large double garage that was empty. So basically they were not going to be going out of their way. UNIT WAS DIRTY, lots of sand on beds. I reached out to management and was advised to change the sheets myself and that they were going to send housekeeping the next morning. Guess bedroom had lots of dead bugs. Something was crawling on my daughter’s face during the night and she freaked out. The unit was very hot upon arrival so I reached out to management, AGAIN SHE WAS RUDE and super condescending on her email reply. Overall the unit was nice in a nice area.
We enjoyed our time in 1a. Lots of great “extras” to enjoy and a fully equipped kitchen were great too.
This was a great villa and very well maintained. My wife and I enjoyed our time here. The community was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. There weren't a ton of choices places to eat nearby however there were enough close by to provide a variety if we didn't feel like cooking ourselves. the villa was well stocked with starter supplies and kitchen utensils. The management staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this location and would definitely consider staying again when I return to the island.
I booked this condo based on specific criteria, including AC. If you’re familiar not every property in the islands has AC. Day of arrival voice message AC wasn’t working, part ordered. Unpleasant and unhelpful property rep conversation. No ETA on part or repair, unit was hot inside. Not willing to help find another property, not willing to compensate at appropriate amount. We left, didn’t stay. It was insulting, no regard for the guest, impression was the owner was most important factor.
The 45 minutes we searched and found another property, the upstairs neighbor had a screaming toddler throwing a tantrum and we heard every foot stop above. Terrible noise carry through ceiling and we didn’t have any doors open.
Highly unfortunate, we’d really looked forward to staying.
Only upside was full refund since we didn’t stay.
Would not recommend property management, hesitant on those ground floor units.
