Great location , walking distance to beaches and pools. Open area green belt great for the kids to run aboit
Beautiful house in a beautiful location! We enjoyed walking to the beach, the Hyatt, the pool (even though it wasn’t as close as we thought it would be). The house was FULLY stocked with everything you could need, complete with boogie boards in great shape, beach chairs, umbrellas, tons of kitchen appliances and dish-ware, linen, towels, etc. Twice we needed help during our stay (i.e. one time the bbq propane tank ran low), and both times our needs were met immediately. The owner is great and quick with communication and also provided great tips for things to do. On one “side” of the house, there is one huge and beautiful master bedroom with attached full bathroom, double sinks, sunken tub, walk in closet. Then you’ve got the open living & dining rooms and kitchen in the “middle” and then on the other “side” of the house is a hallway leading to a bathroom and 3 more bedrooms. One of those bedrooms has a king bed and it’s own attached bathroom which is great, but noting this in case other potential guests care: this second master is way smaller than the first master described earlier. Our family of 7 enjoyed this house and would stay here again…writing this review makes me sad we had to leave! We were two adult couples, a grandma, and a pair of older teenagers (they stayed in the room with the bunkbeds and enjoyed that both bunks were double beds not twins). The air conditioners in all the bedrooms was awesome, and there were plenty of fans as well if a/c isn’t needed.
Family vacation that turned into a small wedding.
Wonderful vacation for our family of six!The home was so comfortable for all of us - plenty of room, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, kitchen well stocked, front and backyards were beautiful, excellent plus with a bbq and outside shower, games were fun, and the garage had so many beach toys (including boogie boards, chairs, towels, coolers, wagon, etc.). The location of the home was ideal! Plenty to do within walking distance or a short drive.The homeowners were so helpful and shared so much information about things to do in Kauai. We appreciated all they did to make our stay so memorable, relaxing and enjoyable!

Well stocked, clean house in a phenomenal location
Absolutely loved the location on the greenbelt. Easy walk to the Hyatt or Poipu Beach. Stocked with anything you need from kitchen items to beach supplies. Loved that they provided so many towels. If I could give it a 4.5 I would… our only complaint was a mildewy smell in the bedroom with the bunks. Other than that, great stay. Would recommend and stay here again!

Perfect location, very clean, good option for those with mobility issues
The house is just beautiful and well stocked with all kitchen items. The front patio has tropical plants that you can admire as you sit in the lounge chairs. The back patio faces the green belt with a large grassy area. You are within 12 minutes from shipwreck beach and and about 16 minutes to Poipu beach. The house has several boogie boards, 2 coolers and lots of sand toys. Best part, there is a wagon that you can load it all in to roll to the beach. The best part of the house besides the awesome location and comfort of the home, is the out door shower. It was great to use after a day of beach fun. The owner, Jon, communicated before we arrived with easy to follow instructions. He was available for any questions or concerns we had during our stay. We had a wonderful family vacation and will seek this home out when we return to the beautiful island of Kauai.
We’ve been to Poipu Kai many times over the years and this was time was an A+! The home was beautiful and perfectly laid out for our family of 5 plus my 80-year old mom. The location was ideal - easy walk to the beach on one side of the green belt and an easy walk to the Hyatt on the other side ( where we got a day pass to use their pools). Plus easy access to the tennis/pickle courts and pool! We look forward to going back there again someday!
We love the south shore area. This home has direct access to the walking path connecting Shipwreck and Poipu beaches (10 minute walk in either direction). Location couldn’t be better. Home is perfect. Hosts have thought of everything and are super easy to work with. Would book again without hesitation.
Property met all of our needs for an 3 generations of my family. Centrally located for our excursions, plenty of beach toys for the kids and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking some meals. I would certainly recommend this property to others. I had no contact with property manager so this is a forced evaluation based upon the property,
The property is located in the middle of Poipu, which is the paradise resort of Kauai. We enjoy living in the property feeling as if we were one of the resort residents. The surrounding circumstances are ideal. Beautiful garden with well organized tropical plants, spacious living area, with beautiful furniture, nearby ocean is someplace wild someplace calm, newly built shopping places have good shops and restaurants. We did not have to go to remote places for "sight seeing". Just stay home or walk around and go shopping and dining nearby places, those are the ideal resort life. Of course, cooking in the functional kitchen or good BBQ grill is great fan. Over all it was the memorable days in the property.
House is in a great location - a very short walk from the Grand Hyatt with Shipwrecks beach and a short walk the other direction to Poipu Beach - both just along greenways. Cannot be beat for a location.
There’s a fairly private front yard to hang out in as well.
Our group of 7 really enjoyed our stay. Jon sent a great deal of information in advance that helped with our planning. With any issue that came up, he was very responsive and proactively reached out via email to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The ocean and pool/hot tub were a short walk away. Everyone had room to stretch out. The house had everything we were seeking.
This is a five star home in a five star neighborhood! We spent a week in Poipu to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday and could not have asked for a better experience. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, with two beautiful outdoor areas that accommodated our group of seven adults ranging from 18 - 90 at all times. It's 5 minutes away from two gorgeous beaches, a wonderful pool and a tennis/pickle ball facility. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook for a large group, and the garage has enough beach/snorkling/water accessories to keep everyone busy. John and Makenna were incredibly easy to work with, answered all of our questions with great detail and supplied us with tons of information ahead of time so we could jump right in and enjoy our time in Kauai right after we arrived. Look no further - this home is a gem!
Jon was amazingly helpful from weeks prior to us arriving, to having so many fabulous recommendations when we were in Poipu, and being so supportive to help our unique needs throughout the stay. The house was perfect for my whole family - 18 month old, 4 yr old, husband, parents, brother and MIL. We loved being able to walk to so many beaches on the green belt, and we had the wagon and a wheel chair on our walks. We cooked at the house primarily and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. And all the outdoor space, from the hammock, outdoor shower, and loungers in the private front yard to the patio out back along the greenbelt, was fabulous to enjoy the gorgeous weather! I can't say enough great things to express how much we loved spending time at this house in this epic location. Thank you!!
Spacious, private house, perfect for a family vacation. We are a family of 8 adults, but house would be great for small children too! House is located on a tranquil green belt and is a short walking distance to several beaches. Kitchen is incredibly well-stocked with every appliance you could possibly need. Also included are 8+ beach chairs, several umbrellas, 2 coolers and even a wagon to carry your gear to beach. Community is great, we didn’t use the pool but played pickle ball at the community courts. Dining and shopping are a 10 minute drive away in Poipu or Old Koloa town. The owner is very responsive and made sure we checked in and had all we needed. You should note that the main bathroom is open to the bedroom, separated only a with pony wall, so privacy is limited. Also, noise carries within the house probably due to the flooring being all tiles.
Overall, I highly recommend this house!
We loved staying in this beautiful home! It was exactly as we expected. There was a minor issue with the door lock, but it was repaired quickly. It was definitely a vacation that we will cherish.
