This condo was exactly what we needed to explore all of Maui.
The unit met our needs - we love staying at Maui Vista for the nearness to Kamaole Beach I. The unit had the basics and aside from the cleaning from the previous visitors not being quite finished (but Malinee was VERY responsive!), we were satisfied with everything.
I loved it!! It really is the perfect location and the place itself was remarkable!! Communication was easy and the area was calm and felt safe! Highly recommend
Check in was easy, host messaged us well in advance with the key code and instructions. The apartment was clean and had all amenities that you'd need. But then it went downhill. We messaged the host as soon as we checked in to ask for a late check out. No response was received for the duration of our stay. The host had her phone number listed but we are from out of country and don't have international calling, so we rely on the app for communication. We were very disappointed. It would have been nice to communicate with the host because after going to bed on the first night we discovered the bed was broken and didn't support the mattress, so we had to sleep in reverse with our feet at the head board. We turned the AC unit on to cool the room down before going to bed and the neighbour immediately came over to complain about the noise from the AC, so we felt hesitant to use it for the remainder of our stay. I also had to clean the filter on the AC unit in the living room since it had an alert pop up saying to check it.
We stayed 8 nights at this condo. It is located in the heart of beach district in Kihei. From this unit it's about a 10 minute walk to the beach because the unit is in the back of the complex. This appears to be an older complex of mostly one bedroom units. The unit is long and narrow with the bedroom in the back. There is no usable window in the bedroom. The louverd windows open directly to a common hallway. They did supply a portable room AC unit for this room. There is also a celling fan which we used. We left the screen to the balcony open most of the time to stay cool. Overall the unit is kind of dated. The kitchen cupboards are very old. One drawer was broken with an out of order label on it. Since we were mostly only here to sleep the unit was satisfactory. If we were going to live there for an extended period, we would not have been happy. The best thing about this place is the supplied beach chairs, umbrella and towels. The location is fairly central for exploring all of Maui.
We always enjoy staying at the Maui Vista complex - great location, proximity to beach and restaurants, and good amenities. This unit was quiet, great views and well equipped with everything we needed for a 2 week stay.

We had a great short stay in Kihei. The accommodations were great for us. I’m thankful for the AC units. It was a bit warm in the afternoons but the AC units were quick to cool things down. The location was great and could walk to many places located near by, especially the beach!
We were attending a destination wedding.
This was the perfect place for us. Comfortable bed .. nice amenities..
Beach chairs were a bonus .. Beach across the street . Lots of paking and nearby shopping.
