At Maui for vacation and Granddaughter wedding
It’s as if your well to do friends gave you the keys to their oceanfront Maui apartment to hang out at .. Everything is there ready to use, wanna make pina coladas or cook a stir fry no problem as the kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance possible. Kids wanna play at the beach, grab the snorkelling stuff and body boards from the closet and go enjoy. No hotel can touch this local living lifestyle.
The property and grounds were lovely and well maintained. The kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed walking along the beach. The room was clean and well stocked with all necessities for our 7 day stay, including condiments and toiletries.Lots of beach accessories including snorkels, chairs, golf putters, tennis rackets, etc. You only need to bring your clothes and food. Loved our stay, will come again.
Great location. Clean. Owners thought of and stocked the unit with everything you would need for vacation. I would definitely come back!
The property was paradise! Couldn’t have asked for more -view of the ocean, palm trees, pond with a bridge, pool, hot tub, putting green and lit torches at night. The beach walkway was conveniently located next to our property which went for miles down the beach. The property was very clean as was our beautiful condo which had every amenity needed!
The property ended up being even better than what the pictures show. Mike and Lesli always responded quickly and their condo was clean and well stocked. The location was great with stores and several places to eat in walking distance. I'd 100% recommend staying here.
Feedback for Papakea Resort:
Our recent stay at Papakea Resort was overall pleasant, with some room for improvement.
Positive Aspects:
Beautiful Property: The resort grounds were beautiful and well-maintained.
Dated Furniture and Space: While the furniture and space were a bit dated, they were sufficient for our needs.
Attentive Property Owner: The property owner ensured that all amenities within the space were available for us throughout our stay, which was a nice touch.
Areas for Improvement:
Air Conditioning Notification: We were not informed until two weeks before our arrival that the space did not have air conditioning. This was an oversight on my part as I assumed it was a standard amenity, but clearer upfront communication in the listing would have been appreciated. Rebooking a new location with air conditioning on such short notice would have been challenging. It was difficult for us to sleep at night.
Despite this, we enjoyed our time at the resort and can understand why people return.
The property was wonderful. Pool was heated and loved having the jacuzzi. While the unit could use some updates , it was priced appropriately. Best value for the complex. We stayed in April and having no AC was not an issue. I have been vacationing on Maui for years and was very pleasantly surprised with the Papakea and this condo.
We had such an incredible time staying at this condo! It had absolutely everything we needed from boogie boards to Keurig coffee! The property was also beautiful. We loved the tennis, shuffleboard, pool, and cornhole. The cinnamon buns and scones at Papi's beside us were to die for! Overall, we would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future :)
Was just as advertised. Well stocked with nice view from 2nd floor lanai. We had 1 minor issue and the owner had it resolved the very same day. Would stay again.

Very well stocked condo! Great location close to parking and amazing view from the lanai and master bedroom. Papakea keeps the grounds meticulously maintained.
Mike and Lesli were great hosts easy and great to communicate with. Would definitely booked this condo again.
