If you've visited Maui before, you know how difficult it is to find a 3-bedroom condo with a great ocean view. This was perfect for us (3 couples). It was great that everyone had personal space and a bathroom. The condo is in good condition. Folks who mention that it could use some updating are not wrong, but I have really mixed feelings about that because updated condos tend to be more expensive and this is currently one of the best values on Maui for what you get. You're close to Safeway, conveniently located for snorkeling in both South and West Maui, and just a short drive from Costco and the airport. My one tip for visitors would be to check the closets in the bedrooms when you arrive. Useful things like brooms, fans, beach chairs, etc. are divided between the three bedrooms.

We were satisfied (4) with overall stay at Maui Sunset. Family of 8 enjoyed the location and the unforgettable ocean views from corner unit: the lanai offered beautiful ocean views. The property’s general condition (3+): the unit can apply simple fixes to freshen the dated and worn condition of the furniture via slipcovers on the living room furniture and even pillows. The 2 loveseats in bedrooms need to be replaced as they had a musty odor. The kitchen supplies were adequate, however, should replace the plastic cutting board due to health hazards. Property’s location (5)..was superior due to proximity to shopping and restaurants in Kihei. The park was a major asset along with lovely beachfront access, pool, tennis courts, BBQ drill area and pickleball courts. The property was clean (4) upon arrival. There was an issue with the refrigerator which was addressed quickly with little inconvenience to our family. The property management company was very professional (5). Check in/check out instructions were clear, maintenance issues were addressed in a timely and professional manner, guests were greeted with a warm smile which was appreciated. Yes...we would recommend this property to a friend but strongly recommend furniture upgrades. Our family enjoyed the unit and the memories will be cherished for a lifetime. Thank you!
We had a great week at sunset beach! The beach is wonderful and the grounds are lovely. The condo has one of the best views in the whole complex. We saw whales from the lanai and turtles on the beach, which were some of the highlights. Cons:
The unit was great, good location right on the beach with a park adjacent. We are all dog people and miss our pets when away, we were able to get our fix everyday with all the dogs that visit the park. Would visit again.

This was my 4th stay. We were on 4th floor with 180 degree view. Spent hours on the deck reading and relaxing. Pool and hot tub were clean. Loved the. Tiki torches at night. Guests booked multiple trod from kiosk by the pool. Think updating the noisy, dripping A/C units. Ours dropped lots of water on the deck floor. With a hope and prayer I will be back. Located close to shopping and restaurants.

The condo's here are very nice, maybe a little dated, but the location is perfect, the property has lots of nice amenities, the pool is awesome.
Very outdated and rundown. That said the location and capacity are everything.

Nice corner unit with great layout and beautiful views. Could use some updates but overall it fulfilled our needs. There is a public park below and off to the left of the unit that is somewhat noisy. Unit had nice wash and dryer, beach chairs and pool noodles. Pullout beds need mattress covers.

We LOVED the Maui Sunset B423!! Property, property pool, shuffle board, golf, grill, tennis all wonderful!!! SUNSETS BEAUTIFUL!! Unit layout perfect!! We had a couple problems with lights / tv however, maintenance was prompt and fixed. Washer did not function in the unit, they should fix it. LOVED the LOCATION & MAUI, FAV Casual spot Beach Street, LOVED all the BEACHES & SNORKELING. TRIOLOGY Snorkel Tour THE BEST!! VERY HAPPY!!!

To start the staff was excellent in facilitating the reservation and dealing with some minor changes. The rental unit was clean and suited our needs perfectly. The grounds were extremely well kept and we would definitely come back again.
The property and grounds were great for our family. The condo was quite outdated but did the trick just fine. The view was fantastic. Dryer & AC were broken but fixed quickly and communication was good. Rooms were small to put kids with parents but we made it work. Location was great.
We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the view was phenomenal, the pool and hot tub were a wonderful amenity, and everything provided in the condo was accurate to the description provided. The location was close to so much in Kihei — go try the cinnamon roll place down the street *chef’s kiss*
One suggestion someone in our group made was for them to get high top bar tables for the balcony so you can catch the view without the balcony guard rail in the way.
They provide a starter kit of toiletries and “paper products” which was unclear if that meant we got one roll of toilet paper for a week and then needed to provide for ourselves. We did buy some just in case which we didn’t need and left there so I would suggest to anyone to wait to buy that type of thing until you absolutely need it. Walmart and Safeway aren’t far.
There was a nice community of people we met at the pool/hot tub that are there yearly. Great way to get suggestions on stuff to do.
Older condos, great location. Love the area in general, easy access to stores and restaurants. Front desk,” Summer” was unfriendly. Also pool attendees were ridiculous with the COVID rules.
