Wow. This unit was exactly as described if not better. Let’s just start with that VIEW!! Unbelievable!! Floor to ceiling windows maximized the view and we could not get enough of it. We watched whales every day from that spacious lanai and comfy loungers and even saw a few sea turtles swim by as well.
Kitchen had everything we needed in terms of wine glasses, dinnerware etc. The beds were comfy. Didn’t need the air conditioning. Bree, the property manager, was very responsive to all of our questions and couldn’t have been more helpful. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels and used them every day. We loved the area, too… more laid back than the big hotels/resorts. So many things within easy walking distance. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely book THIS EXACT SAME UNIT!

The view from the lanai is spectacular! We loved sitting outside and watching the whales. The property is dated but unit has been remodeled. Not the cleanest or nicest place I’ve stayed but the views made it worthwhile!
Location is perfect and close to lots of restaurants in walking distance. Bree was very responsive to our needs. This is the closest Condo to the ocean that we have stayed in this area.
The condo is in a superb location - very close to supermarkets, restaurants and local attractions. But why would you want to leave the house? The view from the balcony is incredible, looking right out on Lana'i. The sunsets are pure magic. The unit itself is very comfortable and was immaculate when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location, assigned parking, laundry facilities onsite, clean rooms, cold A/C, ample kitchen utensils, clean beach, great snorkeling behind property, beach gear provided, excellent sunset/sunrise view from balcony.
The owners responded to our reservation request quickly. They offered information about the area and were very easy to contact. It was a pleasure dealing with them before and during our trip!
The apartment itself was beautiful! It had all of the amenities we required. We cooked and ate most meals at 'home' and had all the tools necessary. The ceiling fans were silent and moved the delicious ocean air well around the apartment. It was wonderful to have a couple of beach chairs and enough towels for the whole group. The view off the lanai/balcony was perfection! We watched whales breeching, turtles eating, and fish jumping. We're not pool people but it looked well maintained. I love Maui Sands and would return in a heartbeat!
The location is 5 minutes away from Black Rock where we snorkeled daily. We did some snorkeling onsite as well. We enjoyed walks around the neighbourhood. It was a magical family vacation.

We had a great stay at Maui Sands! The unit had everything we needed, including beach gear and towels, and it was so spacious and nicely updated. Although the living room and master bedroom had A/Cs, we never had to use it thanks to the Maui breeze. The condo’s amenities included a pool and laundry — both were very helpful when you travel with kids. The view couldn’t be beat, and it was so nice to hear the ocean waves. Plus Bree was very helpful and responsive throughout our planning process and our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. Mahalo for hosting us!
The place was wonderful! The water was literally right outside! Turtles outside, we even had a monk seal visit one day. We saw spinner dolfins and whales just in front of the property. We had everything we needed and did not even need to use our shampoo and soap as they had everything we needed. Definitely a place to come back to!
