Amazing property! So cozy. Impressed by how well stocked everything was. Excellent location!! So pleased with everything!
If you love a good night's sleep, this condo isn't for you. The bed feels like you have been consumed by a spongy blob and the pillows are huge and uncomfortable. Hot water for showering is sparse. We were told we could check out at 1:00 pm on the day we were leaving. We took our suitcases out to the rental car, shutting the condo door behind us. We were unable to get back in as the owner had not reset the time on the lock. All electronics, owner contact information was locked in the condo. On premise security was unable to help. Thankfully, our son-in-law was able to dig around and after about 20 minutes found a way to contact Vicky Olson. This was a very frighteining experience for us. Boarding passes, etc. were in the condo. No apology for locking us was offered, making the taste in our mouths much worse. Sadly, this was our first and maybe last VRBO experience.
Loved the unit. First things first - very CLEAN. Good accessories with the beach equipment. Some units' reviews (not for this place) had expressed that it was too hot. Jim and Vicki's place had more than enough a/c units to keep things very comfortable. I also like that this unit as closer to the front and pool and had a nice grass area near the patio. The only drawback is that you are closer to the road and hear it when outside.
I did not give a "5" for communication because we never heard from them again after we received check-in info. HOWEVER, I want to point out that our home state (and Jim and Vicki's) experienced horrific weather situations during our trip and I would not be surprised if that played into it. Prior to booking they took care of every question very quickly.
I would stay here again with no trouble.
Everything was just perfect! The location was great for us - across the street from a good swimming beach and within walking distance from dining. The kitchen had plenty of cooking equipment and storage containers. There were beach chairs, umbrella, and plenty of towels to use. The bed was comfortable, and we really enjoyed sitting on the large lania. Everything was very clean. Communicating with the hosts was pleasant and easy. I appreciated that they checked to make sure we were happy with everything. I would love to stay here on my next trip.
Jim and Vicky’s condo was amazing. It is centrally located to all the best restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach. The place was just as described and very clean. Communication with Jim and Vicky was also very easy. Overall we had a great stay and will try to book with them again when we make another trip to Maui!
My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Maui- the second time we have stayed in Vicky and Jim's unit. The location of their condo is unmatched- close to the pool, the beach, shops, and restaurants. The condo had everything we could possibly need for our trip and we will be back! Vicky and Jim are very responsive and we had no concerns- their unit is beautifully updated!
Vicky communicated wonderfully from the start. My 2 adult daughters & I took our 1st trip together & loved staying here! They were super comfortable in the Murphy Bed. The home was just as the photos showed & has all been totally remodelled. We had everything we needed to cook. We loved having access to a BBQ.
While I wanted to spend more for a water view it wasn’t in the budget & truly the best beach in Maui from our perspective was a 4 minute walk away. Easy walking into town. We would stay there again😊. One really needs to rent a car to see the island which we managed to do for $39/day. It wasn’t the prettiest lol😎
