It was a delightful retreat for us. The thoughtfulness of the furnishings was evident on the day of our arrival and only endured after that. We had a few glitches with the WiFi performance and the router was replaced the same day, correcting the problem. The only (very minor) fly in the ointment was that all of the saute pans are way past the end of their useful life and need to be replaced. The knives were pretty dull, so a honing tool would be a great addition to an otherwise very well-equipped kitchen. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
No cat fishing on this listing. Pictures match and the unit is well stocked with everything you need from kitchen items, bathrooms, beach gear, etc. Beds were comfortable and a good size unit for Hawai’i. Parking space has extra room too so no tight squeezing. 2 adult couples stayed here and even though the rooms are right next to each other, privacy is not an issue. A previous post mentioned something about the washer leaking and smelling. It was not leaking when we used it and the smell is moldy due to people not leaving the door open until it dries. The location is pretty good and you can’t beat having turtles in the backyard. 10/10 would stay here again.
We went with my neice and her hubby. It was totally relaxing and we laughed the entire time, Could not have been better. We loved the condo except for the horrific smell coming from the washer. Were afraid to use cuz our clothes my smell. Everything else was great.
A great location and our second time here. The whales appeared is if on cue. Coming back again next year!
Had the pleasure of staying here for a full month with my daughter. Two of my best friends from childhood joined us for the first week and we had the best time exploring the island, beaches and hanging out by the pool. The condo has a great layout and the view is quite stunning. I was quite surprised on how stocked it was - has everything you would need for a long (and short) stay. I had to work from home for part of this trip and WiFi never gave me any issues. It was nice having AC, especially on the days we came back a little toasty from the beach! Very quiet neighborhood - second time staying in Ma'alaea this year. Ocean Center and Pac Whale Foundation right there for snorkeling and dinner cruises. Building has shopping carts to help with groceries which came in helpful with our Costco runs. Felt safe in parking garage. Would stay here again. Mahalo Barbara!
This condo was the best part of our vacation to Maui. Never having been to the island before, we didn't really know the areas well but hit the jackpot when we decided to stay here. We were happy to be in a quiet community but still have the availability of things to do in the harbor or within 25 minutes drive. We had everything we needed to make it feel like home, and were especially thankful for the beach chairs, towels and snorkels that we weren't able to bring from home. Barbara was also so helpful with offering us ideas for what to do while we were there. I will pick it again when I return to Maui!
Overall we had a nice stay the accommodations met our needs. The description on VRBO stated that the condo was 12 steps from the ocean, this was not the case we were on the 2nd floor. Please note that one of the bar stools is broken, luckily we didn’t lean back on it that could have been an even bigger problem.
Directions from airport need to be updated If you are arriving at night marker lights are not available. There should be someone available if there are concerns at arrival if there are concerns.
We were here for New Years and it was such an amazing trip! The condo was exactly what we needed as a family of 4. Fabulous lanai with sea turtle, whale and dolphin views daily. Great location..15 minute drive from everything and walkable shops, restaurants and secluded beach. Would highly recommend this place to all!
Beautiful views of the ocean from every room. Condo was fully stocked with everything you would need. Enjoyed listening to the ocean waves every night. Enjoyed every moment of our stay.
