Condo was better than my expectations. Located in a quiet area of Maui away from crowds. Easy drive to Kehi or airport. Enjoyed the lanai especially as the day changed. Sunrising over the volcano, turtles frolicking in the surf, and colorful sunsets. A good value, highly recommend…
Wonderfully stocked condo with turtle views! We rent a lot of condos and this one is stocked. Gail, the owner, is a lovely hostess and communicates well all in the app. Easy! Condo is located in the middle of everything and a short drive to fun areas. Quiet condo building so we loved the peaceful days. Turtles popping up in the waves, easy to see from the lanai. We even saw a monk seal twice! A/C is only in the living room, not in the bedroom. We love to sleep cold so wish the ac was throughout. The tropical breeze is a wind tunnel from bedroom to living room so open the windows and it does cool. Furniture is firm and we understand why... it holds up to many guests. We however prefer a bit more cozy. A lounger on the lanai vs the bench would be amazing! The condo is not located on a beach... I love to walk the beach. There is a gate to a rocky "mini beach" area but not for sitting or walking. The condo property is nice but a bit older. Grills are old and just ok but they work ok. Pool is small but works for a lovely dip. Overall a 4.9 rating and all was lovely. We stayed a week and a half.

We had a great time here. We personally loved the location - very convenient if you plan to do lots of activities on the island. The property does have a small beach access point but don’t expect a walk out large sandy beach you can chill out on - it’s not that at all -which we knew before coming. We were gone most of the day seeing sites around the island, so we didn’t really view this location as our “beach” location and that was fine for us. In the morning you can somewhat see the sunrise…it’s like a side view which was still very pretty. We had one evening in the condo and we couldn’t really appreciate a sunset view at all so don’t expect to see a sunset on the balcony. The condo itself had all the amenities we wanted/needed like AC, washer & dryer, iron. We were there for 7 days and ran out of toilet paper I think on day 4 or something so not sure if the number of rolls available is adjusted based on length of stay but if staying for more than 4 days you may end up needing to purchase some toilet paper. Otherwise the rest of the usual stuff was covered like laundry detergent and dish soap. The property itself was well maintained - there is a pool, BBQ and lawn area on site. If you rent a car, there is free parking on site - have to get a tag for the car at checkin. Happy with the location and would recommend it.
We would highly recommend this property for it's quiet location, but central to Maui. Best for 2 people as it is fairly small. We enjoyed watching the turtles at every incoming tide.

We had a great stay here. The condo was comfortable, spotless and had all the necessities and amenities we could need. The view was fabulous from the balcony, which is difficult to get in Maui at a reasonable price. We loved the location…very quiet, and a close drive to the airport, restaurants and beaches. The communication with the owner was excellent before our arrival. Also, Gail went out of her way to help us after we left some belongings accidentally, sending them to our home. We definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again.
We saw many of the sights from Haleakala, road to Hana, north beach, Molekini Crater, great snorkeling and whale sightings right from our balcony.
This was everything we were hoping for and more. Sea turtles and breaching humpbacks in sight from our balcony. Comfy beds (and hide-a-bed!). Water and dryer. Super super clean Located in quiet part of town but easily accessible. The ability to cook our own meals, when we were tired of eating out, was great too.
The condo is very beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you might need.Having beach chairs and umbrella was very useful.The lanai offers amazing views of the ocean and we spent quite a lot of time enjoying the scenery in the mornings and evenings. That is definitely something we’ll remember for a long time.The location is superb! We really enjoyed the Haycraft beach park that is only few minutes walking away from the condo! The beach doesn’t get crowded and has really calm water to swim in. We discovered that beach following Steve and Gail’s advice.The hosts are very nice and provided us with all the needed information well in advance. Thank you Gail and Steve for making our trip unforgettable! We’re definitely going to come back! :)
An absolutely lovely condo overlooking Maalaea Bay. Our favorite place to stay on Maui because it’s centrally located and a bit off the beaten path. This is a perfect place for two people. VERY well stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer. A big storage box on the lanai with everything you need for a day at the beach. A comfortable king sized bed. Communication with the owner was easy and straightforward. We’re already planning a return trip. Highly recommended.
I would def stay here again. Great and convenient location for all activities on Maui. The property is well maintained. Fun to see turtles in the little beach access by the condo complex. However if you are looking for a large sandy beach to swim/hang out on the beach area here is very small and rocky so you would have to drive or walk down the road to a more sandy beach but that didn’t bother us since we mainly explored the island. The sunrise is beautiful from the balcony. The condo has a washer/dryer which was great and included detergent which is really helpful to not have to pack for a week trip. There were also beach chairs, body board, beach towels, and ice chest which was helpful for a beach day. There is AC but it is in the living room so it gets a little hot at night in the bedroom since it’s in the back of the condo. Gail was very nice, provided great communication/information and was responsive. There is a nice little shopping area with restaurants within walking distance. We loved hanging out on the balcony in the morning and really enjoyed our time. Overall was a great experience and a great option.
This condo was perfect for two of us wanting to conveniently explore the whole island from a cozy, immaculate, well-outfitted seaside refuge.
Our stay at this Maui condo was truly memorable. Sitting on the 2nd floor balcony with stunning ocean views made this one of our best VRBO get aways ever. The condo was beautifully decorated and had absolutely everything we needed, including binoculars to see the whales. The beach was beautiful and the seeing the sea turtles was a real treat. Our host Gail supplied a welcome book that was full of wonderful tips, advice and information about the island. We took her advice and loved exploring Maui. I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend this lovely condo to anyone visiting Maui.

The view, the whale and turtle activity and the condo condition and location exceeded our expectations. The host was very responsive and communicative and we really appreciated that.
Condo is exactly as described. Very clean and well equipped. Beautiful ocean views. Walking distance to harbor. Recommend Tantes at the wharf great happy hour prices and best meal I had 2 weeks on the island. Great location to start from to sight see other parts of the island.
This was our 4th time staying at Maalaea Banyans but first time in this unit and we have found the best! We so appreciate the time and effort you have put in to making this unit so comfortable. We noticed every detail! The attention you have given to the decor and amenities truly embraces the aloha spirit! We will miss falling asleep and waking to the sound of the waves and watching the whales and turtles play from the patio.

Beautiful Condo overlooking the water. Great central location good for starting your daily journey daily to anywhere on the island. Walking distance to the Harbor and the aquarium. Would stay here again next time
