Simple to book, host was very communicative and let us know everything we needed to about the property. Very easy process, especially considering that it was a relatively last-minute booking. The host was very accommodating as well when we needed to extend our stay unexpectedly

The place was fantastic The only thing I could say is they need new pillows for all the beds and new chairs for the beach One was busted, and one was almost busted and the other was well used.
The location to the beach was awesome, about a 5 min walk with kids and hauling gear. The rental had tons of beach toys which my kids loved borrowing. The interior and kitchen items are outdated but it was a comfortable and clean stay. The stay was really tainted though by the neighbors. We had multiple occurrences were people were so rude related to our kids playing "too loud" at the pool or on the large grassy area. All the areas were public areas and during regular hours (we weren't outside being loud during quite hours or even close to quiet hours). I realize that having a handful of kids, our toleration of noise is probably higher than others but on both of the noted occasions the kids were with their parents and we were not being wild, just normal behavior at the pool or playing at a park. Everywhere we went at the complex, it seemed we got dirty looks and little rude comments. We would not stay here again. We weren't able to relax and have fun like we would want on a vacation with our family. So if you are traveling with kids, maybe not the best place to stay.
Well stocked unit with plenty of beach items, kitchen items, etc. Beautiful view from the lanai, probably one of the best in the complex! One downside that I wasn’t aware of is there is no elevator access to this unit.

This was our first time at the property. It was a great location especially to the beach. The unit was a great size for the 7 of us and was fully stocked with everything you would need including lots of beach equipment. We would definitely come back.

The location is great, right across the street from the beach and beautiful sunsets! Lanai had a great view of the ocean. Our condo was not well maintained. It had dirty carpets and very dirty old furniture, (both should be replaced), a leaky fridge and a poorly working dishwasher. The bathrooms needed a good scrub and the plug in the upstairs tub didn't work well, water kept leaking out. No windex was provided for the glass dining and coffee table. No cleaning supplies for bathroom sink and toilets provided. The locker had some beach supplies but was also very disorganized and dirty. Manager service was OK. I'd recommend the property and location with a warning that every condo is maintained (by the owner) differently and you are taking chance. It could be really well maintained with updates or poorly maintained and dirty, like ours.

Unit was dated (old rug etc) but clean and comfortable with excellent location in the complex. Kitchen reasonably but eclectically supplied, no kettle though (a problem for us tea drinkers). There are lots of beach toys et. Most puzzling to us was the Coop's approach cleaning supplies - there was no mop and no whisk, let alone any cloths or cleaning solutions etc. It might be in the owner's interest to have these materials on hand for guests.....

Our family stayed in unit 223 for a week. The condo was well equipped with tons of beach toys. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The location was perfect! We watched whales from our lanai. Right across the street from the beach and within walking distance to many great restaurants. We would rent this condo again!

This location was ideally located & the grounds were amazing.The condo itself was fine for what we needed, a space to eat & sleep, but the condo is in DIRE need of an upgrade! The carpets are OLD and NEED replacing & the kitchen, while serviceable, also needs an upgrade.While the condo needs some upgrades, I need to say the cleanliness of the condo when we arrived was questionable. I am certain that we left the condo cleaner (I cleaned the condo myself, but still not the cleanest) than when we arrived. The people cleaning the condo do not do a good job, they only clean the surfaces (example: the top of the fridge had YEARS of dirt solidified, took me 15 min. to clean & it still WAS NOT clean).Otherwise, this condo & the complex were great & we'd recommend the Hale Kamaole complex to others.

We have stayed in Hale Kamaole for 12 of the last 15 years. Have a good experience in all the condos until now. 223 is the most disappointing condo we have stayed in. It needs some serious attention. There are soft spots in the upper bedroom floor that are going to punch through some day soon. Some of the grout in the upstairs bathroom is missing and the tiles are starting to come loose. We had to buy a kettle because the one in the condo was filled with black scale. The kitchen is short of utensils. The scissors in the kitchen drawer look like it was dug out of a garden after being buried for years. The location is great with a good ocean view. Would expect a much better maintained condo for $429 a night

We had a great stay at Hale Kamaole! Great location, right across the street from the beach. Very clean with lots of towels and beach equipment like chairs, coolers, umbrella, boogie boards, etc. The pool was great for days when you don't want to get sandy at the beach. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops.

This stay was amazing for my family of 8! Two babies a pre teen and my in-laws. Enough comfy space for us all! Beautiful views and quiet hours were definitely strict! Had a blast!

Great location and the grounds are kept stunning! The kids love the two pools and the bbqs are convenient.The unit 223 has the option of two twin beds in the main level bedroom which worked great for our kids. It’s well layed out.Overall compared to other units we’ve stayed in, this unit is looking tired and is in need of minor updates/refresh (and some sharper knives!). The sliding screen was very stuck and hard to open. We had many little ants in the kitchen so the office had to come by and spray.
