The location of the condo was great and very convenient to the beach. The staff was very helpful, nice and accommodating. Unfortunately the unit we rented was terrible, the mattresses were very cheap and extremely uncomfortable, the carpets smelled as if no cleaning has been done in a while. The kitchen was poorly stock and the knobs so will you could not cut bread. The bead spread was old and the towels were limited and thin. The owner of this condo put no care into the quality of the items in it, it has a garage sale feeling assuming that is where all the interior items came from.I would stay at Hale Kamaole again but would be more selective on which unit to book.
We absolutely loved your place! It was the first place that was stocked with so many great things and supplies, condiments that we didnt have to keep going to the store. I loved that!!! We also loved that , that side had an elevator we really could have used that last year for my father he was very weak. We had to carry him up the stairs. Last year we went there to spread my brother’s ashes he was only 42. My dad was with us to do that. This year we had to spread my dad’s ashes. Other than that our stay was very nice. And thankyou

Great location, fantastic place for larger family. We got bumped out of our original condo in this complex and the other owner went out of his way to get us this place (same style but slightly upgraded) so we weren't stranded. A huge thanks to Charles and Judith for salvaging our dream vacation!

Our party of six stayed here for two weeks. We loved the location, elevator access for my parents in their 80's, the view and proximity to the beach. Overall a great experience. The property was clean upon arrival. It would have been nice to have a welcome sheet/notebook as most rentals have. We are tech-saavy, so it wasn't a problem finding the wifi info, but someone who isn't might have trouble.We found the kitchen to be somewhat lacking. Pans were severely worn out. There wasn't enough silverware (forks) for two meals. A small handful of mixing bowls that had to double as food storage. It just appeared that there was very little thought or effort put into making the kitchen comfortable to use. We have stayed in similar-priced condos with much better-equipped kitchens. We were fortunate that someone discarded a box of silverware, so that took care of that problem. We made do with the rest of the issues.The beach equipment closet was wonderful - everything we needed and more. The snorkel equipment bag had mostly broken gear in it - could use to be cleaned out. We ended up renting gear.Overall, the unit was very enjoyable, and worked well for our party of six. I would recommend it to others!

My family is originally from Oahu but it was my first time to Maui and the location was perfect. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and more importantly the beach. The view was great and the beach gear saved us some money. It’s a great place for a family or couples vacationing together, the two bathrooms are a life saver. We did have to buy toilet tissue, paper towels and garbage bags, there was only 1 extra roll in each bathroom and no extra paper towel rolls but there were 5 of us and we were there for 14 days. We did have to put a wet cloth on the drains and left one bathroom light on at night because of roaches but it was manageable. We kept all of our food in the fridge and the garbage went out everyday but it is Hawaii and bugs are always gonna be around. The condo could use some updating but all in all it was a great place to stay! Sincerely, if you’re on the fence just jump, you’ll be happy that you did! And honestly, you’re on vacation in Hawaii, get out and enjoy every second and be grateful for the time you have there!

We've stayed at a few of these condos and this view was so amazing to watch the whales every morning. There were so many sand and snorkel sets we didn't even rent any! The space was very roomy and convenient. We will definitely stay again...

We were very disappointed with our unit at Hale Kamaole this time. This was our second time staying at Hale Kamaole and had a wonderful stay at the prior unit (I believe it was unit 201 in November of 2021) where we stayed for 10 days. This unit 308 greeted us with roach-like bugs whenever we opened the kitchen cabinets or came in for the evening and turned on the lights. One night we had no less than 20 bugs on the counter when we walked in around 8 pm. We love the development and everyone working there was wonderful , but am not sure we will stay here again because of this. It it a lot of money to spend and be greeted with these unwelcome pests!
