Convenient to everything, spacious, including beach toys!
We only stayed one night, but the house was clean, neat, and big enough for 5 adults. It is located near Volcano N.P. so got to go in the afternoon and evening. The owner lives downstairs, but we never saw him. Thank you!
The listing is correct. It really is right across the street from a great beach. There is plenty of beach gear to make visiting the beach comfortable. I’d recommend renting a wagon from Auntie’s Rental just down the street to help carry all the gear. All the rooms are spacious and the furniture is comfortable. There were a few things that needed fixing and the owner tried his best to take care of them. The appliances worked great, but there’s no icemaker in the new fridge. The kitchen needs a little help to get it up to par with the rest of the condo. It needs to be decluttered of old cookware and bakeware and replaced with new. I look forward to staying at this condo again. I hope to bring my family with me as I’m sure my grandkids will really enjoy the pool and the nearby beach.
The condo was just as described. It was comfortable and clean, with a particularly nice soft master bedroom mattress. There were a few things that weren’t perfect, like the tv cable box and crusty fry pans, but I told Neil these things later. He was very responsive to questions so I’m sure he would have done something if I had told him sooner. They just weren’t that important to us. Though the tv reception was inoperative it was possible to select Netflix after a long day at the beach, so that was fine. As far as the pans go - I told him it would be nice to have a sponge available to do dishes with. I think others may have tried to clean the pans but there was nothing to scrub with. Also - for planning purposes, there were leftover bottles of shampoo and body wash under the master bath sink, so you might not need to buy those. You will need to bring laundry detergent though. Overall I think this was a nice, reasonably priced condo with a very accurate listing and responsive host. The location was great as well, as a nice lifeguard monitored beach was right across the street, conveniently accessed by a protected crosswalk. I would definitely stay at Neil’s condo again.

The four of us walked to and from the beach all day, depending on how much time we each wanted to spend there. The snorkeling's great, and sunsets of course. There's a shady park too for non-beach-goers. There are lots of very good, casual restaurants within walking distance too. The condo was clean and a good size and layout for a couple and two adult children. The kitchen's small and pots and pans etc. aren't well organized or necessarily completely clean, and the microwave didn't work, but who cares - it's Maui!! We've stayed in quieter neighborhoods - this condo isn't particularly noisy, but it's an urban area so there are traffic sounds and people out and about in the evening - but worth it for the beach. There are four beach chairs and lots beach towels, and I think a beach umbrella that we didn't use. I wouldn't count on any of the snorkel gear being that great but we brought our own so didn't check it out too carefully. We didn't need to contact the host so can't comment on their responsiveness - I only rated them 5 because vrbo wouldn't let me submit a review without rating that item.

The place was perfectly located for hanging out at the beach and going on lots of side trips and adventures with our family (two parents and two kids under 10). Wonderful and responsive hosts. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It wasn't perfect, but given the price, it was pretty incredible.
Pros:
The place is as described. Two bedrooms, two baths, spacious, full kitchen, laundry, large lanai. The beds were comfy and the unit is in a quiet part of the property. It is short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. There is also a lot to do within a short drive (Wailea is less than 5 minutes). Neil is great host - extremely responsive and provides all of the information you need.
Cons:
The furniture and appliances are a bit outdated, but none of that was a surprise as the listing is accurate. There were a few little tiny bugs constantly on the dining table, so I think that needs to be replaced. The cleaning crew didn't do the best job, so there was some dirt, etc. when we got there. I also wish there was more than just hand soap and dish soap, as we had to buy a body wash/shampoo combo at Safeway.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again given the amazing value (two beds/baths and amazing location). Thanks for having us!

This nice apartment is right across the street from Kam 2 and 3 beaches. The owner took special touches like labels by each light switch and on each drawer which are much appreciated. Well equipped kitchen too. And great beach gear! The complex is older and smaller than its neighbors but it means the rather decent pool is not as crowded. Overall highly recommended!

We loved staying at this condo in Kihei! It is VERY well supplied with everything we could need in the kitchen & at the beach. Comfy beds, easy walk into town. We would happily return the next time we’re in Maui!
The owner was pretty quick to fix minor issues in the rental. There were beach chairs, beach towels available already so we didn't need to bring them. Parking was superb.
