Maui Banyans is a great complex. Clean pools, amazing grounds and great location.
We’ve stayed there several times before. This VRBO was disappointing for the amount charged.
Patio wasn’t well kept up, most of the gear provided like chairs and snorkel stuff was so old it was rusted/unusable. Really old food in the cupboard and fridge. Both A/C units ran , but did not cool the rooms. This felt like one of the most frustrating things because when you pay hotel prices you expect for things to work well. We killed at least 12 cockroaches over the week and a half we were there and there is a warning about it on the welcome info so we kept our food in closed containers. One or two- no big deal…12?!
The last thing that was wrong was that one of the showers would not drain at all. I reached out to the owner about this and they sent a plumber the next morning, but after they fixed it you still couldn’t shower for more than 3 mins without overfilling the shower.
I feel like it shouldn’t be the renters job to report all these problems when they come to stay.
Long story short it felt like a place where cleaners come in between guests, but the owners must never be there to check in on things.
This vacation was a splurge for us and I am really upset that I went through VRBO and a private owner because the people we traveled with stayed in the same complex, went through Costco so it was a lot less money, had a mid-week cleaning, and had a MUCH better condo.
We had an amazing time. The unit has everything you could possibly need and more; every kitchen gadget (including blender and electric kettle), condiment, cleaning supply (including laundry detergent), beach need (boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and more!), etc.! The unit looks recently remodeled and it was so cute. We loved the floor-level lanai. We enjoyed the BBQs and outdoor space. The only drawback is that the unit is located in the last building, farthest away from the beach. So the walk to the beach was a bit much for my elderly mom. But still close enough that it’s definitely walkable if you’re able, especially to some of my favorite beaches (such as Kamaole II, which has great snorkeling) and to some restaurants/shops. They even had plastic plates and cups for little kids. Very family friendly. Overall a great experience. Communication was good throughout. Can’t complain!
The Maui Banyan is a very nice clean condo. It’s the best one on the corner with lots of foliage around the back porch on ground level and right across from parking. It’s a short walk across the street to the beach and many other restaurants, shops, and beaches nearby. We surfed, snorkeled, and went on a hike with waterfalls. Would definitely stay again!
Very happy with the stay and the property. The Maui Banyan pool was amazing and perfect for my 2 year old. Close to a lot of food spots and great beaches. The condo was clean and it has a fully loaded kitchen to do any cooking you choose. Pool area has really clean grills to use as well. Very happy and did not want to leave. We will be back!
We’ve been to Maui several times prior and have not loved staying at a place as much as we have as this one! The location was central to everything in Kihei and the complex is so well kept. The condo itself is extremely clean and taken care of. Lana was prompt, thorough, easy to communicate with. We will definitely come back!

Overall the place was great! They supplied beach chairs, umbrellas and small coolers. The main bedroom has air conditioning. The second bedroom has a ceiling fan.... it was fine. We would absolutely stay again! Thank you for being great host!
We had a great time @ Lana's condo!! It is so beautiful and the furniture and decor are lovely. The storage is limited, so we put suitcases inside of each other and put the bags on top of the tall armoire! The microfiber beach towels are so cute and it was great to have all beach toys/towels/chairs and umbrellas readily available! We hope we can go back in the future!!
Location was fantastic as was within a few min walking distance to the beach and close to restaurants, shops, etc. Hosts were super responsive! Would recommend!

Good location in Kihei. 5 minute walk to the beach. Kitchen well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Pool 2 minute walk from condo. Nice gardens with many kinds of birds my grandchildren enjoyed. Truly enjoyed our stay. Check in went smoothly
