We were lucky enough to stay a week at the Mākena Surf resort. F306 was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Property management was great and easy to work with. Just wish our trip was longer!
Our family of 4 has stayed at Makena Surf more than 20 times. This is one of the nicest units we have stayed in, and that is saying a lot! The view from the common area and lanai is spectacular. It would be hard to be any closer to the ocean. We saw a lot of whales during our Dec/Jan stay! The units at Makena Surf get progressively smaller as you go up - 1st floor units are spacious, 2nd floor are in-between, 3rd floor is smallest. Views from the 3rd floor are the best, though, so think about the tradeoff. Management of this unit was very professional and quick. We had a TV issue and it was resolved with style. Within a few hours of me texting the management company, a technician appeared with a replacement TV.
Great unit, easy check-in, great location. Will definitely return.
My family and I had a great time staying in this unit for 1 week. The views and location are fantastic, the beach is one of the best in Maui, only steps away from the unit.
The only thing we were missing was a beach umbrella and perhaps a few kitchen items, but otherwise everything was smooth sailing. You do have to check in and out at the property manager's office, a 5 minute drive and on the way to the office, and they will charge their fee on top of the charge on VRBO, so make sure you are clear on this before booking. There is also complimentary cleaning if you stay more than a few days (we stayed for 8 days, had cleaners come once in the middle of our stay).
Great location…in the “nice” area of Maui. Lots of restaurants near by but food is pretty normal at most locations…nothing at all to do with the property. We stayed in F360, so no noise at all on the top floor.
Loved the condo the only problem we had was that the master bathroom shower broke and they were not able to get a plumber out to fix it until after we checked out.
