We loved our stay in this friendly location. We will be back.
The condo was spacious and gave us lots of space to relax and plan our daily activities. Thought there was a useable lanai as well as actual laundry facilities in the unit. Security is fantastic and staff in the office and around the complex are friendly and very helpful. (where can we buy food?) The pool area along with 6 BBQ's is meticulous. Plenty of loungers for all. Our actual unit had plenty of bedding, beach towels and beach chairs for our use. Aloha Everyone!
The property is beautiful. The grounds are well kept. The pool is very clean as are the BBQs. We felt very safe here. The security personnel are very present and walk around the grounds ensuring a peaceful environment for everyone. The unit itself has bunk beds but no guard rail on the upper bunk. Our 7 year old fell out of bed one night so after that she slept on the floor. There are glass square table tops with corners. With young children you need to be prepared to be aware and supervise appropriately. The view is amazing and you can catch really nice sunsets out the back door on the walkway. Laundry is on the same level which is super handy.
Makaha is located up north, where Farrington hwy basically ends. 1 hr drive to Waikiki. It is the poorer side of Oahu. Very noticeable from the homes, community and restaurants. Disappointed the restaurants where pretty much fast foods places. Had to drive often down south to get nicer food, which was at least 1/2 hrs.
The only good thing up there is Kaena Point Park and Makaha beach. We often drove down South to visit Waikiki and other Tourists spots and beaches. Left the condo early as we got tired of driving an hour back and forth to the condo. Got a hotel in Waikiki instead for the remainder of our vacation. Much more central and more things to see and do.
The condo itself was fine. Bunk bed was uncomfortable. Would have preferred a single bed or sofa bed. Would have liked to have black out blinds as it got very bright and hot in the condo. Did not appreciate that we were ask to clean up before we leave the condo. Of course, we would never leave the place messy or dirty.
Overall I would not recommend this location unless all you care about is the price.
Great condo for our family, great hosts, excellent value. Only thing for me was location, a bit too far out of the way.
The condo is beautiful and had everything we needed for a great vacation. The area is quiet and suited to anyone looking to get away from it all.
After busy days exploring Oahu and Waikiki it was wonderful to make our way to the condo where we enjoyed gorgeous sunsets and a beautiful beach to chill out on. The accommodations were exactly what we’d hoped for ... comfortable, clean, with all the fun amenities.
Nice and spacious apartment, very clean, well equipped large kitchen, great views to mountains and sea, located in security observed area with parking possibilities, beach towels, chairs and umbrella available, very recommendable
Everything in the condo was comfortable and clean, just wished the hot water in the shower would get hot instead of just lukewarm. There was
Clean and modern condo in a gated area. Easy and convenient.
We just loved it... It was clean and the owners left great instructions... They had extra amenities such as beach towels, parasol and other items...
The location is good which led us to discover the West shore of Oahu... We will go again...
