Our family of 5 spent a week in this unit. It was very clean upon arrival. The view from the lanai is INCREDIBLE. The whales were very active and we all had a great time pointing them out. Seating was ample on both the sectional and the dining table. We were even able to pull a 5th chair out on the lanai to eat dinner together overlooking the ocean. On 4 of the days, we had double-digit number of turtles come up on the beach next door. So cool! Only reasons for not giving the 5th star are that the beds are uncomfortably firm. My wife woke up sore most mornings. Also the drain in the main bathroom sink and the shower in the upstairs bath was really slow to drain. Needs some draino or something. Outstanding overall and we would definitely pick this one again in the future.

Great place had a great time and can’t wait to come back. Just didn’t care for the roaches. But hey it was worth it. Great location too.

My family of 5 loved the location, we got to see a ton of sea turtles on the small sand beach, we used the pool a ton. Those were the positives.
When you travel with a family of 5 to a vacation rental/vrbo/airbnb and you are going to be staying for 8 nights, you expect the property to have a reasonable amount of basics.
We noticed right away there was very little toilet paper, about a third of a roll on the paper towel dispenser, no cleaning wipes, and some less important things were absent as well, like a pizza cutter.
A customer support person texted us about the room - to make sure everything was good - we told them about some of the issues. Especially the tp and paper towels. They said maintence would bring more supplies. The next day, we messaged them again because we saw no supplies. They said they would open a maintenance ticket for more supplies. Still nothing came for 2 days, so we messaged again. They said they would reimburse us for those items.
4 days earlier, that response would not have bugged us. However, they had already told his they would bring some supplies.
The location is beautiful. The property itself is great. It would be even better with a hot tub. We had a great time.
However, it was a bit of a bare bones vacation rental. Just the basics.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation. Exceptionally clean, comfortable,well furnished and equipped. Beautiful sunsets and whale watching from the comfort of the veranda.
We did have an unpleasant experience with some undisciplined and unsupervised children in the pool but the wonderful on-site management team addressed the noise and rowdy behaviour promptly and to our satisfaction. Highly recommend this accommodation
We have stayed at Mahina Surf many times. This is our first in this condo. View was nice except for a few things. Had the basics in condo. Does need updating. Main bed could use a new mattress like others have stated. Carpet was pretty dirty and no face wash clothes provided so had to use a hand towel for 2 weeks to wash my face. Condo didn't have the necessary items to use the outdoor grills. No metal spatula or tongs for grilling and no cookie sheets. Had to use a short rubber spatula to grill. These items are kind of important when you want to use the grills provided.
All in all it's a nice condo. It just needs a few extra's that have been provided in other units we have rented at Mahina Surf. Clean the carpet, get a new mattress and add a few extra's to the kitchen for outdoor grilling and it would be great. Love the view.

This room has perfect sunset views. The couch was a nice big size for our family to lounge on. The kitchen came with basic necessities needed for indoor eating and some spices. As far as being updated I would say it's a 6 out of 10. It is decorated nicely and makes you feel at home. The downside were the comfort of the beds which we felt could use an update.
