My family and I absolutely loved this property. When we initially found the property on Vacasa we thought the windows looked like they had fake photos or window coverings to make it look like it had a beautiful view. It just looked to good to be real! (We have had this happen in other properties before..) But no, the view really is that spectacular, from every window in the place. The kitchen is large and has everything you need, both bedrooms are a nice size and the beds are large and comfortable. The property was newly updated and is in excellent condition. Everything was perfect except for the heat. This is our 15+ trip to the Hawaiian islands and 5th to Maui and this was the hottest we have ever been. It is probably our fault for booking in July, but we have stayed at places without A/C before (tons of properties in Hawaii do not have A/C) and this was by far the hottest. The ceiling fans were loud and did not move much air, it was hard to get a nice breeze, and the other fans provided were pretty dirty. I say all of this not to say not to book this property, on the contrary, I would absolutely recommend this fantastic property. I would just strongly advise against going when it is super hot outside or advise you to bring along or purchase a few fans. We will potentially stay here again because the place is simply perfect and the views are breathtaking, we just cannot do it again in the summer.
We love this condo and try to stay in this one any chance we can afford. Grateful that the price of this unit is somewhat reasonable and hoping they continue to provide a perfect spot for our family to travel to!
We enjoyed our time in this beautiful condo so much! Most of the time was out on the Lanai. We hope to return next year.
The view and sounds of the ocean from this room are incredible. Beautiful!
The kitchen and bathroom have small and medium size cockroaches everywhere from dishes and on the coffee maker and cabinets.
The place is amazing itself if you do not mind drinking your coffee in a cup that you know some cockroaches walked inside it or washing everything you use and being very careful with your stuff.

The views are amazing and seeing the turtles on the beach every evening made our days. This condo was clean and easy to rent, just what we were looking for.
I knew I was going to love our stay at 201 Mahina Surf when I started walking down the path to our unit under a canopy of tropical trees, plants and flowers with tiny brown anoles skittering about. It felt like I was walking right into a tropical rainforest.
Upon entering the room we were greeted with the cooling ocean breezes and sweeping views of the Pacific as well as the islands of Molokai and Lanai. There were million dollar views from both of the bedrooms, the living room and the lanai.
All those windows mean a lot of afternoon sun, which heats the place up quite a bit. The unit will begin to cool when the sun sets. We knew the unit did not have air conditioning and we were prepared for that. We adventured in the morning and spent our afternoons staying cool at the pool until the sun set. There was an extra fan in the upstairs bedroom, which was helpful at bedtime.
The grounds and pool were beautiful and very well maintained. The beach areas are very small but there are bigger beaches a short walk or drive in either direction. The unit has some basic beach and snorkeling gear available to use too.
Mahina Surf 201 has had some updates but still has a vintage or old Hawaii vibe to it which is what we were looking for. We loved the small, secluded, peaceful and private feel.
The sunsets at Mahina Surf were beautiful from the lanai, pool and small beach areas. We saw sea turtles swimming by every day and they came to rest on the little beach every afternoon.
We made some wonderful Maui memories at 201 Mahina Surf and would definitely consider staying here again!
