We enjoyed every minute. We have a friend who lives in the building next door and it was great to visit with her. We were so close to the harbor that it was easy to walk to the boats for snorkeling or sunset cruises. In the evening it was wonderful to sit on the lanai.
The view from the unit is amazing! We watched the sunrise each morning, and often saw sea turtles swimming right by the sea wall. We loved being on the bay with so much whale activity during the month of February. The sound of the waves was just wonderful.The unit was well equipped for our stay. We would stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very clean and comfortable condo. Since our bodies were still on EST time, we would wake up way before sunrise...which then led to enjoying starry skies followed by stunning sunrises every morning. Wow!! This rental has everything you need. Attention to detail and recent upgrades by the owners provides for a very enjoyable stay. Excellent communication and tips for enjoying the area were provided by our property manager. Very clean! We will definitely book again in the future!We loved the location. Being in the middle, you can explore both west and south sides of the island with ease. Getting to the north shore is also easy. Right within walking distance: We enjoyed sitting outside with a harbor view while eating lunch at Seascape (next to the aquarium), breakfast and lunch outside at Ma'alaea General Store Cafe & Deli again with views of the boats/harbor, and cookies and ice cream at Hula Cookies. I mentioned enjoying sunrises everyday ...but you can also enjoy beautiful sunsets by simply driving west for 15 mins on hwy 30 and pulling over on the shore side. Great condo, great location and great view!!!
Condo was excellent and, for the Maalaea harbour area, was probably one of the best. Not one thing we could say was missing from this well provisioned unit. We have been to Maui dozens of time and wanted to try this location. We didn't hate the area but just prefer other parts of Maui to stay in.
Clean and super well-equipped condo in a nice, quiet area, away from the crowds of Kihei and Ka'anapali, but still walking distance to shops, restaurants, coffee, and two beaches. Property manager Barbara is helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay here again on any future visit to Maui.
We had a great stay! Love the location and the unit was very clean and well appointed. The parking garage is limited to vehicles of 6’ or less so big SUVs beware you will need to find street parking. The building was quiet and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!
Great ocean front view. Had everything for fixing meals, but we didn't fix any meals. Short walk to marina. Over all we had a good stay.
Although Milowai Resort is an older property. It is well maintained and relatively quiet. It is in a great location and central to many spots on the island.
It is within walking distance to a long strand of beach that goes on for miles as well as a short walk to the Ma’alea harbor.
The unit itself was well appointed and had an upbeat island vibe to it - especially the living area. The bedroom is next to the front entry and can get a bit noisy during late afternoon and early evening but given the overall layout of the complex, it is a feature common to most properties of this size.
The view from the living area and lanai is spectacular. Within minutes of checking in I spotted the first whale and would see many more during our 10 day stay.
