We have stayed at Kona Makai many trips to The Big Island. This was the first time in this condo. The unit is very well kept and the views from the lanai are spectacular. The grounds and the pool areas are beautiful.

Wonderful property. Perfect location with ocean view and close to downtown Kona. Very quiet with the exception of construction going on downstairs a few days and across the courtyard. It would have been great to have the pool open earlier in the a.m. Condo was well stocked and clean. Patio furniture could use some updating as well as lanai ceiling fan. Lanai door VERY tough to open and close. Overall a very relaxing place to lay your head.
This condo is beautiful, inside and out. There is a pool, hot tub, ping pong, workout room and ocean view. Has all the amenities of home.
Clean, comfortable, ocean breezes keep the unit cool. Ocean view from lanai is spectacular. Over the years, we have stayed in various units at Kona Makai. All have been very nice, but this one is a gem at a very reasonable price. It is our favorite.
There were many things to enjoy about staying here. Going to sleep and waking to the sound of the surf, eating meals on the lanai watching the ocean, enjoying the beautiful views, the warm island breeze - all of these combined to make this the perfect place for our week in Kona. Plus the location was perfect for exploring the west side of the Big Island.
Gorgeous view of ocean sunsets from the lanai. Clean, comfortable unit. Excellent location, ocean breezes keep the unit comfortable. We did not need to use the air conditioner at anytime during our stay.

We loved the updated condo with gorgeous views on both sides! Great balcony for morning coffee or tea. The location was perfect as a homebase for our adventures around the island. We’ll be back for more diving and hope to stay here again!

What a great time my husband and I had at this lovely and well-appointed condo at a beautiful ocean-front property. The grounds and spotlessly kept, and the sunset views from the lanai were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit the Big Island!
We have stayed at Kona Makai many times and this is probably our favorite condo to stay in thus far. View was great. Sofa bed was actually comfortable for two young teens to sleep on. Two air conditioners is huge when is gets stuffy! Only negative for the inside was the bedroom window was horribly filthy so looking out at the view from that window was a no go. We washed the sliding glass door upon arrival and the floors were questionabley mopped. Not major issues! Overall the place was fantastic and we would absolutely stay here again!
The one thing missing for us that we have always had during other stays is beach chairs and coolers. They had a couple there but in real bad shape. I would say bring your own collapsible cooler if you plan to use one. We did leave the boogie boards we purchased for future guests.
The host was fantastic to communicate with! We will be back!

This is the perfect condo to watch the sunset from your balcony. With ocean views from both the front (bedroom) of the unit and the balcony, it's hard to do anything else but admire. The unit was incredibly clean, fully stocked with everything you might need, walkable to Kona, beautiful landscaping, and easy parking. The unit manager/host, Mo, is very accommodating and is great with communication. I would definitely stay there again.
We have stayed at the Kona Makai many times. All of the units have been excellent, but this one is the best. The view from the lanai is gorgeous and the ocean breeze keeps things cool.
Easy walk to Kona or marketplace. Condo location has great views of the ocean and sunsets. The ocean waves lull you to sleep and the bird chatter wake you up. Enjoyed watching the life cycles of the monarchs on the butterfly bush.
The condo met and exceeded our every need in all respects. The location to the ocean (on both sides of the unit) with excellent viewing will provide lasting memories. Hope to enjoy it again in the future.
This is our 7th time coming to Kona . Our usual condo in another complex was booked . So we were a little nervous switching things up . But we are so glad we did . Amazing condo great location beautiful grounds and super family friendly. Already planning our next stay .
Loved how homey we felt, it had everything we needed for a family of 4. The view was amazing and it was very clean and organized, would back again. Disliked how rude the neighbors were with my kids but overall we had an amazing stay.

This is an excellent property and we were told about the pool maintenance. We did not expect the jack hammering from 8 am until 5pm every day.

Well maintained condo with everything you need . 10 min walk from Kona . Nice pool right on the ocean . The Lanai has an ocean view and you can watch the sunset every eve . I would go back to this property
