We had a very nice stay at Honua Kai. The unit was very clean. The beds were very firm, but comfortable. The chairs had fabric drooping from underneath, showing signs of wear. We were told upon arrival that the washer was not working and it would not be replaced while we were there. They did offer for us to send our laundry out (not ideal as we did not want to send delicates out. They also failed to deliver our towels, which was an inconvenience!) They gave us some compensation, however. We also had to allow pest control in the unit, which was an inconvenience because we were not going to be present. All counters had to be cleared off, suitcases basically packed up, and valuables secured.
I was an expensive place to stay with all the fees, so save time to enjoy all the amenities the resort has to offer!
This condo is absolutely amazing! The floor plan is spacious and boasts a nice layout. The unit was equipped with everything we needed and the location was perfect. The ocean views are spectacular from the wraparound lanai. The unit is in close proximity to the pools as well as Dukes restaurant. This is our third time staying at Honua Kai and this unit is one of the best especially for multiple families.
Condo was very nice with a nice location. Very convenient parking and helpful staff. My only complaint is the furniture is dated and items such as USB outlets need to be installed to keep up with technology.
Great unit. Pools were awesome and so close. The beach was also very close. The birds were quite brazen. The host was very easy to contact which was awesome! Great stay! Would recommend to others.
The property is located near other hotels and about 2 miles from Whaler’s Village. The property is quite big and a bit “tired”. Often hard to find a chair at the pool. Only one restaurant on property that fills up quickly. Room was fine but could use a bit of a spruce up. Very worn.
Really wonderful location and property. Could see whales breaching from our room and the beach. Worked through some minor logistics issues during our stay but property management was great. Would definitely stay again!

My family and I (6 ppl - parents, grandparents, and little kids) had an amazing stay at the property. The condo was exceptional in terms of cleanliness and amenities. Everyone was very attentive from property management to resort staff. My little kids were in one of the three pools non-stop. Great location with easy access to restaurants. Thank you for an incredible vacation!

We enjoyed our stay but with the onset of COVID, lots of things shut down. The food trucks down the street were awesome. We ate meals on the deck. Hopefully, someday we get to come back.
Want to experience Maui to its fullest.
