Our family of seven enjoyed a Kauai seven-day vacation with this extraordinary house as our home base. This was a stretch for our budget, but worth every penny. Beautiful architecture; splendid construction, down to the finest detail; amazing views; peaceful neighborhood. efficient kitchen, fully equipped; enough glassware and china to serve 20 people; well supplied for essentials; fantastic swimming pool that the grandkids and all of us used extensively. There is not a single thing that I could suggest for improvement-- just a great property.

Wonderful house and pool. Lots of room for group activities and private areas for when you want to get away for a bit. Worked well for our extended family, which included 3 children ages 2, 3, and 4. Well stocked and perfectly located for activities that we selected. Hosts were very responsive to minor issues that came up. Highly recommend.
The house and area were beautiful. A quiet neighborhood with easy driving access to everywhere in Kauai. The design and layout of the house was perfect for the 12 of us ( 8 adults and 4 children). The kitchen and lanai were spacious and made meals at home easy to prepare and serve. The privacy of the bedrooms gave each family unit a lovely retreat when needed. And the home was appointed with lovely and comfortable living spaces. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect setting for our family vacation. Gina was our concierge and booked us for an Apex fishing charter, the Kauai Plantation railway and orchard adventure, and the Makana Charter along the Na Pali coast. She listened to our guidance and advised us, and all excursions were enjoyed! The weather was great, and Kauai is truly a gem! Five stars all the way around!
If you are looking for the ultimate Kauai vacation, book this incredible property! The home is stunning & the living spaces are thoughtfully decorated & top-notch. Every evening you'll have a beautiful view of the setting sun over the Pacific. The home was immaculate, and we had everything we needed for our stay. Our host was wonderful, responsive and accommodating to our specific requests. Finally, the Kukuiula location is the best on the island. You are close to everything. It's just a short drive to the Poipu area, Koloa and you can easily access activities to the west, i.e., a NaPali coast sailing adventure. Don't forget to top off your vacation with a helicopter ride over this beautiful island. We loved every minute of our stay!
Fantastic home top to bottom, well built and supplied, easy to reach towns, services and beaches. Bedrooms very high quality, and used my outdoor shower every day!
House is amazing- comfortable space inside and out! Great views, beautiful pool. A bit high tech and minor issues with shades but highly recommend. Great cooking accommodations as well.

Great trip. Property great.
I had 12 family members (kids, grandkids, siblings and spouses) come to Kauai for my 70th birthday. We had such a wonderful stay at Hale Ho'ouluulu the last week of September 2024.
The home was beautiful and well equipped. We had so many family meals together. It was fun hanging out at the home and using the pool and spa and enjoying everything that Kauai has to offer, including kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, beach time and a catamaran trip.
A couple of suggestions for the rental company for those that like to cook and have large family meals together:
- the chef knives in the kitchen could be sharpened and
- a few more large frying pans would be helpful
Overall, it was an amazing home and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely.
There aren't enough stars available to properly describe this property! This home has it all...outstanding layout/design, tremendous attention to detail and spotlessly clean. My wife and I recently celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and to celebrate more, we took our kids and grandkids to Kauai. There were eleven of us total, ranging in ages from 6 to 77 and this house fit us perfectly. The view out the back deck of the ocean in the distance will remain imprinted in my brain forever. Each of the four master suites is comfortable and very functional and the bunk room is great for kids. The pool with hot tub out back is a lot of fun and the multiple eating areas are very convenient. If I ever go back to Kauai with anywhere near this size of party, I will definitely rent this property again.
Even better than photos show. The home was spacious and perfect for our 3 generation group of 12. Located in a quiet neighborhood with views of the ocean from the lanai. Central to everything. The home had every amenity including beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. We spent 7 fantastic days here. With the help of the concierge service we found a great personal chef for an evening and the home had everything needed for the meal service. The pool and spa were used every day making the available towels, washer and dryer especially helpful. Part of our group traveled to another island resort for an additional few days and said after staying at Hale Ho’ouluulu they were spoiled and the resort did not compare. Truly a magical vacation home and would definitely recommend especially for large families.
My family enjoyed the villa. It was wonderful and looking forward to staying there again.

ABSOLUTELY a dream vacation and 5 star experience with Wailani Kauai. We were lucky enough to stay in the Hale Ho'ouluulu home. The home had 4 King master suites and a bunk room with 4 twins. It was completely dialed in from top to bottom with high end luxury furnishings, stocked with all Malie toiletries and flowers and wine upon arrival. The home is set up on a hill with no on behind, but open green space and the views were some of the best in the area. Aside from the home being one of the nicest rentals we have stayed in, the customer service was top notch and very responsive. We hope to make this a yearly family vacation. This rental delivered beyond our expectations. No expense was spared in design, finishings or furniture. We enjoyed chilling at the house as much as we enjoyed exploring the island of K'auai. The staff did an excellent job cleaning and preparing the house and recommending things to do and places to eat throughtout the island. Pool and hot tub was exceptional and cooking at home was a pleasure. Highly recommend.Can't wait to return.
