The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The location and property are perfect! The wrap around deck was so peaceful during the day and amazing night for watching the ocean and beach. We were sad to leave but looking forward to our return!

This unit had everything we were looking for...amazing views, gorgeous sunsets, comfortable beds, even though the unit has not been renovated recently, I enjoyed the vintage feel as my parents used to bring us here in the 70s and it reminded me of my youth.
View is unreal. Property is great. Beach is great. Tons of restaurants and shops right there. The unit could use a few updates, but they are minor in comparison to how great the overall unit is.
Love The Whaler location, had a great week. Condo has a fantastic view of the ocean. It was clean and had everything you need to relax and enjoy. One strange thing was no pre-communication from the owner/property manager and when we reached out with questions they said we did not have a reservation. I wasn’t too worried because we were already checked in and things happen. The staff at The Whaler are great and resolved our issue immediately. I would recommend this unit and only suggest you confirm your reservation.
Great central location on Kaanapali Beach.
This unit is at The Whaler which is at the best location on Kaanapali Beach. It would be hard to imagine a better place to stay and a better unit to stay in. Very roomy, nicely furnished on the inside with comfortable couch, new recliner, and super comfortable beds. Lots of outside seating options to enjoy too. We can't begin to tell you how much time we spent out on the lanai enjoying the unbelievable views morning, noon and night. The binoculars were an appreciated bonus. In unit laundry was very helpful too. We had an awesome time. Mahalo for allowing us to stay in your home!
We had an amazing 2 weeks at this property at The Whaler. The views from this unit are so great - some mornings, it was hard to leave the lanai to do other activities!
The unit is well furnished in a peaceful way. The kitchen was very well appointed. We like to cook and there are nice pots & pans, dishes, knives, all sorts of kitchen tools.
The Whaler complex is perfectly located with its beach & pool so accessible and Whaler Village next door for shopping and eating.

Comfortable leather couches, recliner, nice beds, and stocked kitchen made it feel like home. We walked next door to Whaler’s Village for delicious fish tacos and hula pie at Leilani’s. Kids picked up pizzas at the village too. Being so close to the beach and pool and swimming with sea turtles and seeing rainbows was our absolute favorite. We took a Trilogy sunset sail cruise next to The Whaler too. Love this condo for a special vacation. Aloha!

I really enjoyed the condo. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. I especially liked having a recliner!! The views were amazing. I will definitely check out this unit again on my next trip to Maui.

Terrific views Perfect location. Unit is in need of serious upgrades. Lighting colors was inconsistent. House phone did work. Broken ceiling tiles in bath.

What could be better than sitting on the lanai watching the whales. This property was exactly as advertised. Spacious rooms, windows all around, great variety of lanai furniture, easy access to the beach and close to many shopping/restaurant options.
The view was perfect of the ocean and Black Rock. We saw whales and there were binoculars to see them. Everything was nice and clean and even though there was not a bathtub, the hall bath had a low spout and our 3 year old loved playing in it each evening. We had a wonderful vacation making lasting memories for all of us. Thank you for making it happen.

We couldn’t have been happier with this condo. The rooms were spacious, and the lanai was absolutely huge, wrapping around the unit with both mountain and ocean/beach fantastic views. The location was perfect, within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping at Whaler’s Village. The unit was stocked with tons of cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls. Would we stay there again? Absolutely. My only issue was the lack of communication with the owner. With only 2 weeks before our departure I contacted Cathy through VRBO to get a couple questions answered and heard nothing back. With a week to go I called her and the phone rang and rang and rang…no answer. I tried texting to that number and received an automated text message back telling me that it was a land line and did I want to leave my message as a voice mail? I did, and still heard nothing back. I ended up calling The Whaler directly to make sure we were good to go. Also, the Rental Agreement form gave the number of her housekeeper, Mary, if we needed anything. I called to have her remove some dirty sheets that had been left. She called me back and said she hadn’t worked that unit for a couple of years so clearly they need to update their contact list. I wouldn’t let the above hold you back from renting this unit though.

Fabulous views. Very comfortable beds. Always wanted to stay in corner unit with wraparound lanai.
Simply outstanding, we loved it. Can’t beat the sunset views!

Wow. Where do we start? A million dollar view that can’t be beat. Very comfortable beds and has everything you need to make you feel at home. Loved being right on Kaanapali Beach and next to Whaler’s Village. Will definitely be back!!
This place has great views of Black Rock, the ocean, the beach, the pool, and sunsets. The bedrooms are huge compared to any hotel, plus you have a well stocked kitchen and living room, and a wrap around deck you wont get anywhere else but at these corner units at the Whaler. There is also basic beach gear - chairs, umbrellas, cooler, beach mats and beach toys. You could spend as much on 2 hotel rooms and not get the extra benefits you get here.
An absolutely wonderful place. The condo was clean, cool, and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The furnishings are nice. The views are wonderful. We miss it already. Cathy was always responsive and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
This condo was exactly as described if not better. No words could accurately detail the amazing view seen from this location. The property is situated in the most ideal location on Ka’anapali Beach. The rental was very clean and well stocked with everything you might need. The host was very communicative and the Whaler front desk staff were great. We hope to stay here again soon!
