This unit was perfect for our family and was exactly as promised in the listing. The check-in process was easy and we would definitely return to this unit and complex for future trips.
This property is the perfect vacation spot on Maui, in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The only thing was the dryer wasn't working so we couldn't wash our towels and clothes. KBM did offer to wash our clothes (so we did that at the end of the trip) and gave us a lot of new fresh towels but it was inconvenient when we needed to wear clothes that needed to be washed and dry swim suits..

Our unit had exceptional amenities. It was very quiet and comfortable.
Overall, we were extremely pleased with this unit and the KBM Management. It was truly as advertised. While there is construction next door, nothing could be heard. The unit was exceptionally clean upon check-in and was well stocked with bath and beach towels. The property itself was beautiful, very well-maintained, and had wonderful staff.
We had a great time at Honua Kai- we have stayed there before and knew we would have a good experience. Only negative was the lanai due to construction next door. We were aware of construction- I just didn't think about how much dust there would be on lanai.
Aloha! I have always booked directly with resorts and never used a vacation rental company before and needless to say, I was a little concerned on the process, service, and security of it all. After all is said and done, I am extremely satisfied by KBM for the assistance and service throughout the process and the final product and experience of our family vacation. We found a smoking deal, the Hard Hat Special, at the Honua Kai property and booked our vacation. KBM was super fast and responsive with multiple property quotes and multiple date requests while we were planning our vacation. Once we decided on our dates and room, KBM made the rest of the process a breeze. Free rental car and free valet/hotel parking was a nice additional benefit. The room was very nice, well appointed, comfortable and gave our family a very comfortable home base for our stay. The kids and I found the construction project next door to be educational and entertaining. The noise was hardly noticeable with the windows closed. There was obvious noise when the doors and windows were open, but it was hardly disturbing. After all, we were only in the room for meals, rest and sleeping, so the construction was never an issue for us.
We are already planning a trip for next year and will be contacting KBM for assistance.
I love going thru KBM Hawaii, the staff is great to work with. The follow up and communication is great and they will go the extra mile to take care of you. It would be in your best interest to follow up with a KBM Hawaii staff to make sure the room as everything it should have. That said; I will still go thru KBM Hawaii, but will make sure it's a quality room that we expect from Honua Kai Property.
Renting this unit with KBM was a great experience! The unit was clean, well stocked and we loved the L'Occitane soaps and lotions. I was a bit worried about the free car rental, but this was also a good experience and a super benefit. We upgraded slightly. The closet had a boogie board, 2 chairs, 2 umbrellas, great sand toys and a cooler (this will need replacement soon). Unit was supplied with 6 high quality beach towels. KBM website and registration was easy and they were very responsive prior to our arrival with reminders to make check-in easy. I would definitely rent with KBM again!
Excellent condo and a great location. It’s really nice to have Duke’s restaurant on property and doing pool side dining and To-go.
We liked just about everything at KBM Resorts. Communication was excellent if one knew whom to call: hotel, condo, resort or property manager. Lots of brown towels were free for our use at many automated machines. This same machine made it easy to return the towels. There were lots of lounge chairs and pools at Honua Kai. It is right on the beach front. The view ftom our condo was wonderful. Our grandkids loved it. One of the best vacations we ever took.
