I was back visiting my god daughter who lives in HNL. I was with her mom, my bestie. Great location, on the water, view and deck spectacular. Quiet. The unit had everything we needed. Free parking was easy across at Kapiolani Park. Good communication with Vrbo/owner, especially when checking in and out of the unit.
Great to be able to walk to everything. Hiking diamond Head easy and close. Great to run around Kapiolani Park. Had a chance to paddle from the Outrigger Canoe Club a couple of buildings down. Yoga on the grass area at Kaimana beach a two minute walk.
Highly recommend this condo.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient but just outside of the Waikiki strip which we really like. It's a short walk to all the action, but the neighborhood is quiet and near a huge park and of course the ocean. The water is a bit rougher in this area so there tends to be the sound of crashing rather than tranquil waves but very pleasant nonetheless.
We usually stay at the Kaimana Beach Hotel a few doors down, which is very nice, but this rental was much more comfortable. I was disappointed at first when I walked into the property as the photos were misleading. It is beachfront but the views from the property are side windows facing condo buildings and there are no windows facing the ocean. However the lanai out front is huge and overlooks the property's yard/garden and the ocean. There's a sofa, chairs and it's very comfortable and scenic. We loved it, although next time I would rent a place on a higher floor so we'd get both a spacious lanai and views.
Inside the condo is spacious with a fully outfitted kitchen and everything you'll need. The bedding isn't hotel quality, and the linens and pillows could use a replacement. I highly recommend paying for the parking garage. It was super convenient and on weekends, it seemed that it would be difficult to find street parking,
The unit was located in a nice and quite area, about 15 min walking distance to Waikiki. Enjoyed lots of time on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Perfect for our needs. We paid for onsite parking, and it was well worth it, but can be a little tight at times. Also washer and dryer was in the basement (not in unit) - but there were plenty of machines, so not a big issue.
We’ve been staying at the DBH for 40 years, and return every year. This particular condo is situated ocean front and offers all the amenities. Word to the wise- the fold out couch is probably best for 2 children, anyone older/bigger will feel it’s a tight squeeze.

If we weren't out or sleeping, we were on the balcony. The view is amazing. And could hear the birds and have some fun people watching. The kitchen was stocked enough for basic meals.

This review is overdue We vacationed mid January and enjoyed our accommodation. The ocean view on the balcony is outstanding! Leave the sliding door open to listen to the waves. Morning sunrise meditation started my mornings. Got to enjoy coffee and breakfast too. In the afternoons we always made sure we were done “holo-holo-Ing” so we could enjoy a glass of vino and watch the sunset! What a life!
Reserved parking stall made it convenient.
EZ walk to nightlife.
We’re at edge of Waikiki so it’s quiet and easy on/off to freeways.
Property management always available to assist and great follow up.

We had a wonderful stay in the condo. It was everything we could want. Stocked with the essentials, located exactly where we wanted to be… Just far enough from Waikiki, but still in the middle of the Diamondhead community. The balcony was the perfect place to relax in the morning and in the evening to watch the sunset. We would love to stay here again!
We have stayed in this building before, and it was great again. Close but far enough from Waikiki, the park across the street is great, and the views and balconies near the ocean are fabulous. The beds in this unit were comfortable. We did not use AC because of the constant breeze! Excellent overall!
