The property was amazing, the view was incredible, had washer and dryer, parking was easy and you could walk to get coffee, groceries, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would come again!!!
The ocean view is phenomenal with views to Lana'i and Molokai, and whales right from lanai. We originally booked for 7 days/6 nights and decided to extend our stay 1 day since we were delayed by the national air system outage, and would have stayed through the weekend but new guests were checking in.
The downside of our stay was that only 3 towels, 2 hand towels, 1 wash cloth and 1 foot towel were provided for the 2 of us for our stay. On day 3, I texted Gil, the property's local point of contact, to request more towels , wash cloths, and mats, and he said it would be a $40 extra charge, or we could use the coin laundry at $1.50 per wash and $1.50 per dry (the unit does not provide detergent). I said I paid $3,200 for rental and didn't think my request warranted an extra charge, especially considering the length of our stay.
I contacted Evolve and was asked to email screenshots of the texts. Shortly after, Gil texted me that he would bring the towels. He didn't show by day 4, and I contacted an Evolve rep again who said Evolve couldn't make him do it but contact him again, and later reported back that Gil had a personal issue and would bring towels first thing tomorrow. On day 5 morning, towels had not arrived by the time we headed out for our Road to Hana overnight trip. We returned to the condo on day 6 to fresh towels finally (no wash cloths). Perhaps we would have received them timely if I had agreed to pay the $40.
I get the impression that Gil is the point of contact for more than this unit since he asked "which unit" when I requested more towels. I, myself, am a vacation rental owner and self-manage my property with 5-star overall review status. This kind of customer interaction would be unacceptable to me as an owner, and I would find a new point of contact if the person I enlisted to act on my behalf tried to scam my customers out of extra money.
Recommendations would be to provide more bath linens. No dishwasher pods were provided and should be as well. Also, the kitchen trash can is missing its lid; it should have one to prevent smells from wafting through the unit and to deter insects (small, near-microscopic insects gather on the counter if you leave a dirty dish or open food on it - no biggie, it's the tropics).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The unit is updated, clean, situated well on the property, and in a great location. The property attracts an older/retiree crowd, so kids may not have much opportunity to make friends there.
Nice place and location to stay. Comfy bed, plenty of space, ocean views. No AC but the fans help. A bit out dated overall. Easy communication prior to checkin with all info needed.
Everything was broken (furniture, the stove, the lockbox, screens) and this is the only condo in that community without shades/blinds - it was 110 degrees inside with no relief. No rugs or bath mats, the Traffic noise was deafening.
The view is seriously the best part of staying here. It was absolutely stunning! For that, I am ok with the amount of money I spent. Good location; close to the beach. A beautiful Pool and hangout area! The only bummer about our stay here was the overall cleanliness. If the place was cleaned properly, I would have been much more comfortable. The moment we got there we went to grab glasses of wine to enjoy the view and one of the glasses in the cabinet still had stains from its previous use! I also found a few hairs on the top bed sheet. We ended up not using it since it had freaked us out a bit. We didn’t mind sleeping without a blanket though since there’s no a/c and the breeze from the beach kept us cool. I recommend this property to find a new cleaning company because the one they have now is not doing there job properly.
The view was amazing. Had everything I needed.
But stove was broken and the garbage disposal didnt work. I constantly had to plunge the water ou with my hand. It was in a good location.
Needs air conditioning. The cross breeze helped but in order to get the breeze you had to leave the doors and windows open. There was a lot idle street noise. Also, the fans were old and needed replaced. They rattled terribly. The view of the ocean was amazing and very close to fantastic beaches.
Property was as described. View was amazing. Pillows and mattresses were very comfortable. There was not enough towels available and a privacy blind would have been great for the balcony door. Listing does state there are ceiling fans, no a/c but it wasn’t bad and we like it cold.
We were not able to access the property because Travelocity agents were not able to get in contact with the property agent. Agent emailed access instructions after an hour of attempting to get a hold of her. The email with the instructions was sent arnd 3:30pm on May 5, 2022, on our arrival date. We had a 5pm sunset dinner cruise to attend and our flight was abt 8 hours long! We needed to get ready for our cruise that we paid $500 for. Thankfully a Travelocity agent was able to secure us a room in a hotel room next to the property. The agent from the property was not apologetic nor understanding of the situation. We were forced to booked last minute hotels in Maui for our duration of our trip inducing unnecessary financial burden.
The pictures of the unit and it's view were spot on and exactly what we were looking for. Unfortunately we had some issues. The day we checked in we found out that the oven wasn't working. Talked with the owner who indicated that it was supposed to have been fixed but it had not been. Was the owner not telling us the truth or was it who ever should have made the repair that didn't do their job. I suspect I now the truth but can't prove it. Regardless, the owners response was that we could use the outside grills instead. He also said he would look into finding a repairman or replacement as if he expected us to give up part of the vacation time we paid for so we could be there when strangers were going to be in the unit. Additionally, there were 2 times when no hot water was available, the security safe didn't work and the hair dryer handle was so sticky it felt like gripping duct tape.
If it wasn't for these issues we would have given this place a 5 star rating.
Beautiful view. Condo was great. Not enough toiletries for 4 days n owner never responded to any of emails.
We extended our vacation and found this condo last minute. The condo was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the pool and shuffleboard court. We watched the whales from the balcony every morning while having our coffee. The condo is very clean, comfortable, and well equiped. We would definitely stay there again.
Awesome spot for a couple. Condo had some unbelievable views. The complex has everything you need, nice pool, laundry, shuffle board, outdoor grills, etc. to make your stay enjoyable. I had a small issue trying to get the tv to work but the communication and help was seem less and quick. Only issue, the condo WiFi is weak. I was unable to stay connected out on the balcony which is only 20’ from the wireless router. It would’ve been nice to sit out on the balcony to check emails and such but it didn’t diminish my stay at all. I recommend this place to anyone!!
Checkin was easy. Great location and even greater views out the balcony overlooking the ocean! Highly recommend this place.
The location is great. The complex is very nice, the grounds are very well maintained. The condo itself is a little old and tired. The bed was very uncomfortable, I think it is time for a new mattress or at least a mattress topper. They also need a wine stopper. Not all bottle have screw caps. On the rare occasion we do not finish a bottle of wine it would be nice to put it in the fridge for the next day. If we make our way back to Maui we would stay here again
The view from the apartment is fantastic. We were able to watch whales and sunsets every day. The property is well maintained for the age of the property. The king size bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked; plenty of glasses, plates, etc. The internet tended to go down almost every day but was easy to reboot and connect. The unit does not have air conditioning which would be fine as there is a nice breeze most of the time except for the bedroom is adjacent to the main street so it was considerably noisy (as the windows are right above the bed) and there was a lot of ambient light in the bedroom and the entire unit. The patio doors do not have locks on them and one of them is very difficult to slide open.
Excellent in every way! Fabulous sunsets every night from the deck. Huge ceiling fans kept the rooms comfortable. Well appointed kitchen with everything needed to cook in if we wanted. Great parking, quick elevator, lovely pool area with lots of outdoor seating options. Everything we hoped for!
