Relaxing stay; plenty of memories made!
Within walking to beach, shopping and restaurants. Felt very safe in neighbourhood. It was great having mini kitchen in suite for snacks and light meals. Laundry on site was nice. I would stay there again.
The communication with the property manager was poor. When I contacted him with a concern about the parking he was condescending and rude. He later messaged me information that was a little too late to help with my situation. Although the front desk attendant was kind and understanding to our situation and did everything she could to help my family. Now some things you should know before booking this stay, as stated parking is not included but available on the premises on a first come first serve basis at $37 a night and remember only if spaces are available on the premises otherwise you park a few blocks away at $40 a night. Also, since this room is privately owned, you do not get any services you normally have at a hotel such as cleaning of the room or additional toiletries and towels that may need to be replenished if you have an extended stay. Also, the ac stopped working on the last day and once again since it is a privately owned room the front desk could not assist. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers available but are always in use but why should you have to wash towels while on vacation right? My intention of this review is to to help any of those that are considering booking this room since the description leaves out these facts.Thankfully my family and I didn’t let this change our vacation vibe and we enjoyed all of the beauty of the island.
When checking into this unit thru a 3rd party ( Aqua Palms front desk) I was told the unit I rented was managed by another company and not to call them (Aqua Palms) with any issues. Parking was listed ‘as available’ but as I found out not guaranteed in the building. I was offer to download a parking App to find other parking ‘close by’. I asked where was the closest parking and was told ‘down the street to the right’. Parking in the building was $36.50 a day but was not guaranteed. I was told if I payed the $36.50 for the day and if I left to sightsee or run an errands I was not guaranteed a spot when I returned. Daily rate would be pro rated if a refund was needed. Room smelled very musty and was very warm 80 degrees upon entry. AC only worked if the sliding door was closed completely (it wasn’t upon entry or locked) and the sensor was activated (which is a very good thing to have) but who would know that. I texted the VRBO manger on the reservation but didn’t get a response so I called the VRBO manager only after an hour to find this out. Was only furnished 1 bath towel, 1 face cloth, and 1 face towel for 2 adults. I was however furnished 3 ‘pool towel’. The unit IS very close to the major shopping area and the beach. I left a day early. Couldn’t stand the smell of the unit.
Convenient location, clean and comfortable, with all of our needs met.
We had a great time and the property was awesome. Everything was just as described....
