Loved the unit, but only concern is we booked the unit partially based on the patio furniture of cozy couch and chairs, yet that was not in place when we arrived. It was a table and chairs, which is not our preference. Otherwise wonderful. Cozy and had most all of what we needed. Tupperware and a starter set of foil or seran wrap would have been nice. Great location, although PACKED with kids and noise at pools. Enjoyed quiet pool though. Hard core rules of no small coolers at pool, no open yeti cups (Weird) and no quiet music of your own. That was annoying. Only could be at one pool due to crazy crowds. Wish there were more than one restaurant for such a large complex. But - overall it was Maui and amazing. Oh! false alarm on last evening. Blaring alarm in unit - leave room now via stairway, there is an emergency. So we did! woken up to this. Turns out false alarm and front desk smiled about it. Felt awful for disabled, people with children in their arms. Back to room, with 2 more blaring alarms to say it was a false alarm, OK to stay in room. Quite disruptive. But again, loved Maui. Would not go back to Honua Kai probably, as it was simply a bit too large and crazy busy for us. We prefer a quieter atmosphere.

Check in was breeze. It’s at the front door. Staff was friendly and helpful. The unit itself was exactly as described (no click bait) and cleaned upon arrival. The property itself is a high end resort being directly in the beach. My only regret: I didn’t stay longer. Would definitely stay again.

We can't wait to return! Loved the resort amenities and the condo was perfect for our family of 4. Well stocked and comfortable.
Our unit was such a nice place. Loved the Being able to open up the wall to the lanai. The resort didn’t have anywhere close to enough pool chairs, but having the beach chairs & umbrella from the unit was great. Beautiful views from the lanai.

Excellent stay at Honua Kai again. Weather was fantastic. Beaches were empty due to the pandemic so we had lots of room.
Did notice the pool water appeared to be a little "cloudy" this time. Other than that it was great
Very good. missed the boogie boards though. There is some spots in the carpet that certainly would be nice if they could be removed. Overall, a nice unit as we have stayed in Honua Kai very often. Price is getting too high unfortunately which will cause us to rethink our stay and look elsewhere.
What a great place to stay, this is our second stay At this resort and it will not be our last! The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Even added toys for the kids, beach chairs and beach toys. Overall amazing!
This was our 2nd trip to the property and it’s our favorite place to stay in Maui! In fact, we’ll be returning again in April...can’t wait!!
Good location. Clean. Nice kitchen. Provided all the laundry and dishwasher soap you need. 2 Beach chairs and an umbrella in room for beach use. As well as a cooler. Nice view from the balcony while drinking our morning coffee.
Pool area is nice. Lots of families with children. Beach towel dispenser was very convenient.
