Beautiful quiet neighborhood that surrounds an 18-hole golf course. The gentile downhill slope of the terrain allows for amazing views and privacy.

Getting around:
The Makai House is very conveniently located a few minutes from the town of Na'alehu, Green Sands Beach, South Point and Punalu'u Bakery! It is a beautiful scenic 45-minute drive to Volcano National Park. The Kona and Hilo Airports are about 1.5 Hrs away and also beautiful drives. It is recommended that you rent a vehicle.

One of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island was our stay in Naalehu. The house is just fantastic, with 3 good-sized bedrooms and two beautifully appointed bathrooms. The open plan sitting area and kitchen was such a welcoming space compared to most hotels. The decks offer great ocean views.
A perfect spot for access to black, green, and white sand beaches at the southernmost point in the United States.

We really enjoyed being at this lovely home. Fabulous sunrises, nicely equipped, we stayed for an extended week and weren't ready to leave!

Overall the property was perfect for us. Located halfway between Hilo and Kona on South Point in a quiet community. It had a lot of amenities that we definitely took advantage of like beach chairs, boogie boards and the BBQ.

The property manager was very responsive to all text messages. She never managed to get the TV or the WiFi working but that was not too inconvenient to our family, we took advantage of the board games provided.

Loved everything about this house, location, space, clean, everything felt new. Loved the peace and tranquility of this neighborhood. All outdoor spaces have nice views. Linda was great. They provide toiletries and beach gear which was great. Best stay so far on the big Island. The pictures on the website don't do this place justice, it's better in person. The views of the ocean from almost every window are amazing. We opened the windows and glass doors and the breeze was just perfect.
