Directly across the street from the ocean, Kehena Moana is right in the middle of Puna's "banana belt" where warm, sunny days are the norm. Sit on our sundeck and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean or drive a short distance to the amazing natural attractions on this side of the Big Island. Explore and soak in the sights that are unique to Hawaii. Nearby attractions include Volcano National Park with it's views of the Kilauea caldera and extensive hiking trails, Isaac Hale beach park with its new black sand beach and warm geo-thermal hot ponds where you can soak your worries away, Historic Pahoa town and it's rich plantation history and architecture of days past, 40 minutes from lovely Hilo town where you'll find shopping, restaurants and Hilo's world famous farmer's market where you can sample locally grown, fresh exotic fruits and vegetables from the Aina (land). The home's 5 bedrooms are private and well appointed with organic 100% cotton linens and towels. The 3 main bedrooms have a private bath while the 2 other smaller bedrooms share 2 full bathrooms. The main space is open concept kitchen/livingroom/diningroom and has great ocean views, a large sectional couch, large dining room table and a well appointed kitchen that provides anything you would need to cook your delicious meals with the fresh ingredients the island offers. Off the main space is our large sundeck which is perfect to gather and enjoy the ocean views. Our main attraction, Kehena Black Sand beach is only a 3 minute walk away from the front gate. Also known as "Dolphin Beach", it is not unusual to see spinner dolphins, green sea turtles and humpback whales during whale season (November-March)
