This is the 4th time we've rented from Salt Water Vacations. The properties have all been well taken care of and they respond to any concerns promptly. This one has a very comfortable king size bed. A full bath with a good shower. And a full kitchen with a half size fridge. The view from the lanai of the park and ponds is serene, and you can even see part of Hilo Bay. The pool and grounds are nice as well. The area feels safe and there is 24 hour security and covered parking. We would definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a good budget place to stay, this is it. Room was very clean and everything looks like the pictures. Stove, toaster and coffee maker is a place. Microwave may need a replacement soon. My husband, who is very picky about where he stays, said he would stay here again. It beats over paying at a hotel with no stove and dirty floors.
Sleepy business park with stunning lagoon views. Quiet neighborhood, great for vacation. A nice walk to downtown Hilo.
The condo itself is quite small and shows its age. It was very helpful to have the stores and the eating places within a short distance. I would probably not rent it again.
Pros..pretty view. Ac works great. Central location.
Con’s.. older building. Very small dated bathroom. Coffee pot was dirty from previous renter.
The studio was perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and even downtown Hilo. It had everything we wanted and a great view out over the green area between the building and the ocean. There was a very good coffee shop (Just Cruisin Coffee) just five minutes walk away and lots of restaurants all within walking distance (up to 30 minutes walk). Overall, an ideal location in Hilo
I stayed here for 4 nights while traveling to Hilo for work. The property was perfect for my needs. Everything was clean and in good condition and the condos are centrally located. I would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute unit. It was located in a great part of town and made it easy to get to everything. The unit was just how the pictures showed.
The two things I was specifically looking for were a king size bed and a pool. The bed held up to my expectation but the pool was disapointing.The pictures showed a descent pool but we were never able to go in. Why would a unit remodel a pool in the peak season of travel to the island? The pool was a letdown.
The unit though was great!

Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. We got the best sleep of our vacation in this space. The only complaint we had is that the space was not generously appointed at all - all that was provided for our first shower was the tiniest bottle of shampoo and the tiniest bar of soap I've ever seen - definitely not enough for two people. My main comment for the property management company is that this may not be the place to save money, as it has a real impact on (tired, traveling) customers and it's such a minimal expense to resolve it.

We especially loved the beautiful view of the lagoon and river, and the park surrounding it. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchenette was well stocked. The air conditioning unit worked well and was much appreciated. The large bed was very comfortable. The location was very central and it was easy to get around town, driving and walking.The bathroom had a few issues, one being that the tub floor was flaky and warn looking, and the drain was very slow. By pulling off the stopper, we saw that there was a big wad of hair clogging the stopper. We couldn’t pull it out, but we encourage the owners to do so. The water drained perfectly when the stopper was taken off. Also, the lighting was not sufficient in the bathroom. It would benefit from light over the medicine cabinet so guests can see their faces clearly while grooming.On windy days wind would blow under the door very loudly. We encourage the owners to put some kind of blockage at the bottom of the door like we saw on other units. We solved the problem by putting towels at the bottom of the door.The first impression when arriving at the building was not great. It seriously needs a paint job. It was a little embarrassing to be dropped off at the building by our friend one day.All that being said, we would definitely stay there again. In fact, we said that we would live in the building in a larger one bedroom unit, if given the opportunity.
We love the view from the balcony of the lagoon park area. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, and the kitchenette was stocked with everything we needed. The bottom of the tub was flaky and worn looking. Also, the drain was very slow, and when we pulled it off the stopper we could see that there was a big wad of hair stuck in it that we couldn’t pull out. The water drained perfectly with the plug taken off. We would encourage the owners to clean the hair out of the drain topper.
At times, wind blew under the front door, quite loudly, but the problem was solved by putting towels along the bottom of the door which blocked the wind coming in from the hallway.
The first impression driving up to the hotel is not great. It seriously needs a paint job. We were a little embarrassed to have friends drop us off there when returning one day.
That all being said, we really enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again. We even said we would live there in a larger one bedroom apartment if we had the opportunity.

The condo was conveniently located, quiet, clean and bug free. There were some problems. The keys attached for the pool and parking were not physically labeled on the keys and were mixed up probably by the previous renters. The pool key didn’t work even when the security guard tried it. Though we were out quite a bit the tv was not cable. You needed passwords to use, which I did not have with me, and what was available was pathetic. We lost the internet for several days. The manager gave me directions on how to reboot but not in person. I had to figure out which was the modem and which was the router. The mini kitchen was adequately supplied however the lightening all around was terrible. The bathtub did not drain and we had to plunge and paint was flaking off the bottom.
My husband and I stayed for three nights, the studio is small but perfect for just two people, especially when being outside more of the time. The area around the apartment didn’t feel super safe at night time, but we were fine walking. Close to downtown and all within easy driving to the rocky beaches
