After a hot day at the beach, relax at Ke Kīhāpai Bed & Breakfast at the 2400 foot elevation with unobstructed views of our dormant volcano, Haleakalā. Breathe the fresh air with an upcountry view of town, the north shore of Maui and Kahālāwai (West Maui Mountains.) The nights are cool and the stars are bright, out on the 1000 square foot deck, where you can grill and dine on the outdoor patio.

Dotted with lei and native plants, Ke Kīhāpai B & B, sits on a two-acre parcel that includes our family home just across the gulch. We are close enough to handle any emergencies, yet far enough away to give you complete privacy. (There is a one-mile drive between the two homes.) Ke Kīhāpai means "the small farm" in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiian language. We are a local Hawaiian family, born and raised in the islands. We are deeply committed to the restoration of Hawaiian culture, especially the revitalization of the Hawaiian language. Ke Kīhāpai was our first home where we raised our three children.

You’ll have three bedrooms and two full baths. With the queen sofa sleeper in the livingroom, there are accommodations to sleep 8 people comfortably. There is a dining area, full kitchen and expansive outdoor deck with BBQ and patio furniture. The well-equipped kitchen includes all cooking ware and utensils to make meal prep a breeze. Outside you’ll find a full-size washer and dryer and parking for up to 4 vehicles. We provide linens and towels, including extra sheets, blankets and beach towels. We have beach chairs and some sand toys for the children. We also include the basic essentials, including paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, and laundry detergents.

As a licensed Bed & Breakfast, we are delighted to supply breakfast foods for you to prepare on your own schedule. Generally we include eggs, bacon, bread, cereals, milk and some fresh fruit as well as coffee and tea. We have a Keurig, Mr. Coffee and a French press available. In addition, there are plenty of condiments and spices in the pantry.

We welcome you to explore the property and check out the variety of trees and plants, mostly natives, throughout. If the plumeria are in season, we encourage you to string your own lei. We are happy to provide the lei needle and the string....
