The property manager was responsive, and eventually remedied the issue, but they NEVER apologized. They offered us NOTHING to make up for the stress and inconvenience we experienced. Let me explain.The sleeper sofa was BROKEN when we arrived so we contacted the property manager right away, leaving a message on their after hours line. They responded quickly but said they wouldn't be able to help us that evening because it was after hours. So my daughter had to sleep on the couch that night.They brought an airbed the next day, but never apologized for the inconvenience. No apology, no courtesy, no aloha.Finally on day 4 of our stay they had a new sleeper sofa delivered. We had to move all of our belongings in the living room area to clear the way for the furniture delivery crew.We requested a partial refund for the inconvenience, but they refused. I would not stay here again due to their lack of courtesy.
Overall my family enjoyed our stay here. This unit is a little dated, but everything worked flawlessly during our stay. This unit has a view of the park/beach across the street although it’s slightly obstructed by trees. Sadly you will not be able to see the sun setting because of said trees. It’s a quick walk to the grassy area of the bark to sit and watch the sunset. Parking was easy and plentiful.
We were at Kamaole Sands for eight nights nine days in 7/2025. This is a beautiful unit with amazing views of the beach and mountains. It’s literally a 3 minute walk across the street or you could drive and park for free. We absolutely loved our stay. This unit had everything you could ever need for a week. We especially appreciated the high-quality beach chairs, umbrella and towels that were provided. Everything was very clean and immaculate. There was a small issue when we first checked in and the property management was so friendly and quick to respond making us feel very confident in our choice! We hope to come back again someday! Mahalo for letting us stay!!
We really were not in the room much, but when we were, we had everything we could possibly need! Enjoyed the view and listening to the waves from our patio. Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed at this property many times over the years now - this particular condo was a great location but had only the minimum amenities provided. Use of an umbrella, small cooler, and beach chairs was nice and a games selection was a plus. Some small things missing that make a big difference (that other properties provided) was a proper amount of toilet paper according to your stay length, no Kleenex, some hand soap, enough garbage bags, a selection of oil and seasonings that would be left behind from other travelers, etc. These little touches make a person feel valued and thought about. The cleanliness could have been a bit better too to be honest, you could tell maybe attention to detail wasn’t made by cleaners (rings in toilets and dirty corners of floors). WiFi worked great, view was nice from the lanai, and overall was a nice stay and a great building with easy access to road and BBQS.

We had a great stay. Saw lots of turtles at nice beach across the street. Condo, was well equipped with everything we need and was very clean. We would stay here again.
We stayed at this unit for 8 days and it was great. The location, Kamaole Sands, is excellent. Located across the street from Kam 3 Beach Park, with a nice ocean view from the balcony, this unit is hard to beat. We got it at a great price and were definitely satisfied. The unit came with helpful beach equipment such as a wagon, chairs, pool noodles, and cooler. The appliances are all updated. We didn't have to use the laundry but having the option is obviously nice. The main issues were a lack of blankets, and the mode selection knob on the dryer was broken, but it looked like the dryer could be used anyways. I didn't even bother to message the host about the blankets but in hindsight I probably should have. Overall we had a great stay!
Great location. Great view. Nice condo. The only complaint was the pull out sofa. It kept sinking in the middle. It was not comfortable at all. We even brought a camping mattress, but had to put towels and blankets under it to make it flat. Otherwise great stay. The king size bed in the room was very comfortable.
Loved the location of this unit. Love Kamaole Sands! We had a problem with one of the ceiling fans and they sent someone to fix it right away.
