Aloha and welcome to the Papakea Resort, a 13-acre oceanfront resort with a true feeling of Maui. There are two sets of low-rise buildings, each with its own pool, spa, cabana, putting green, shuffleboard, and newly upgraded gas barbecue area. The resort also has two lighted tennis courts and an activity desk with 24-hour front desk check-in availability and free parking. For those of you who 'must' stay connected, Papakea now offers free Wireless Internet access throughout the resort. For times when you wish to pursue outdoor activities, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and great snorkeling and boogie-boarding beaches are within walking distance. Only steps from the ocean, our top-floor penthouse unit has been completely remodeled and provides a beautiful ocean view. There is a view from both the living room and master bedroom. Most of the furniture was custom built. By Hawaii's standards, this penthouse is huge. It is over 1200 square feet. The main floor has two bedrooms with their own flat screen TV's. The master bedroom is very large with plenty of closet and dresser space. It has a king-sized bed and full en suite bathroom with dual sinks. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a full en suite bathroom. Both bedrooms have custom built desks. The third bedroom is a loft with a queen-sized bed and its own full en suite bathroom with HDLCD TV and DVD. All bathrooms feature glassed in showers and granite countertops for the vanity area. The loft area is unique and quite large. There are only a few loft units available with this type of configuration because these penthouses exist only on the fourth floor and most other fourth floor units are either a one bedroom or studio. Very few units in Papakea have an opportunity to feature a bedroom with a direct view of the ocean from your bed! Our penthouse is air conditioned with a Split A/C system that cools the entire condo, but with ceiling fans in all rooms... who needs it?! Just open all the windows, listen to the ocean, and let the warm, comfortable tropical air relax you. The living area has ample seating, as well as a large 60-inch LED TV screen with satellite connection and DVD with a Bose sound system. Everything was amazing and exactly as described AC worked great and the view was outstanding we had absolutely no problems what so ever and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking!

Everything was represented accurately in the listing. This resort location is perfect. Close to the beach walkway yet not in the middle of so many resorts. Close to a great coffee shop, pastry-pizza spot and co-op market. Grounds are very well kept.
Condo was perfect for 6 adults. Clean and everything worked. We had a small issue with the tv In living room. The owner Carl was very responsive. A maintenance person from resort came within 10 mins to fix the problem.
Highly recommend this place.

We had a great week at the Papakea Condo. Great location with some really solid food choices nearby. We had a minor issue upon arrival but Carl is very responsive and helpful. There were some beach chairs and floats on hand which was super useful and appreciated. We liked the door code for entry instead of keys- one less thing to lose! The property has 2 gazebo areas that we used for takeout/outdoor dining with a great sunset view. We also saw folks grilling out there. The on-site staff was very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to rent this condo again.

This property was ideal for our family of 6. It accommodated us all easily. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and access to the water and pools easily. There was also many available activities within walking distance from the place. Carl was accommodating and so helpful with ideas of places on the island. Our trip was amazing. We highly recommend!!

Nice property, great location convenient to shops and beach. Some initial miscommunication about door code but owner went out his way on his own time to quickly resolve the issue. Complex is a little dated but well maintained

Overall amazing property and stay, the property was just as pictured. Great location and easy access to the beach and local spots. Carl left extra equipment for us to use, which we all appreciated it a lot. Highly recommend!

Girls trip for graduation and couldn’t have been better. Great location and easy access for grocers and food trucks. Beach access and pool. Unit was supplied with beach chairs, boogie boards and beach toys. Highly recommend.
