Great location in Princeville area with a fantastic view overlooking Hanalei Bay. We spent most nights on the patio viewing the sunsets. Grocery store only 5 minute drive and great pizza at Hideaways Pizza Pub only a two minute walk. Every morning we were visited by several groups of Nene! Several beaches within a easy drive. The condo needs some TLC and refreshing, overall we enjoyed our stay!
Princeville is a beautiful area, the view from the condo was fantastic! Nice patio and lawn. The unit needs some updating and freshening. We still enjoyed our 2 night stay.
Immediately upon checking in the smell was overwhelming. The place reeked. The toilet was wobbly with a large puddle around it. I went to hang my clothes and found that every surface in the closet was covered in a thick later of greasy funky gunk. I tried to lay down and the pillows were flat like bricks and obviously needed to be replaced a long time ago. The screen door was busted and very very hard to open. The blinds were broken and very easy to see through. The dishes and electric double burner were disgusting, with grime and grease. We arrived too late to make any changes but I did call vrbo, who was less than helpful they asked me to email photos, which I did, and they didn’t get back to me at all. I decided to try to make the most of it and went and got air freshener and new pillows the next day. We tried to pack a picnic with the provided cooler but the inside of it was covered in black mold and gunk. We tried to go and enjoy the on-site pool to find it empty and closed.
On our second morning the maintenance crew started pounding and drilling right outside our window at 8 am without any notice what so ever. We got up and headed to the beach for the day. This was all happening right as the Lahaina fire started - We couldn’t find anywhere nearby with availability to take us in. The next morning I went to shower and the maintenance crew had set up ladders right outside the shower window. I watched one look in. We left 4 days early and headed to Waimea.
