We were very pleased with our stay there. We were a little worried about being near the pool, but even with a pool full of kids, we couldn’t even hear it. The back porch is steps from the beach, beautiful views every morning the furniture was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. There is a rental shop on site so that was super convenient and a restaurant bar although we didn’t eat there. There are comments and reviews about a broken sliding glass door, but that got replaced with a beautiful smooth sliding new glass door. Don’t park in the main parking lot to the left of the big wheel, parking under the two level parking structure on the right side of the property to be closer to the condo. if I had to search for something to complain about the hot water in the shower wasn’t very hot, but I think that’s more of a building problem than an individual unit problem
Two star condo on a two star beach in a two star neighborhood.
This was a great place to stay. Located on the first floor, next to the pool, and the beach. The beach was literally 20ft from the patio area. Its located in a good area with lots of places to eat and plenty of attractions. Its also located in the middle of the island so getting anywhere was easy and only 15 min from the airport.
Highly Recomend staying here. Great views!!
I wanted to love this condo at the Sugar Beach Resort as we have stayed in different condos there and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the sliding glass door to the lanai was broken and could only partly be pulled open with excessive force by my husband. We had about one foot of opening to use. When I contacted the rental company, I was told that the maintenance team could not fix the problem as it required extensive repairs. I think someone did come in and spray lubricant on the tracks because it was somewhat easier to open a few days later. But it sounds like this was a known issue given a guest review from 2/2/24. I was very disappointed that the door was not fixed before our visit. Another issue was a broken dining room chair. The seat was taped to the frame with clear packing tape. The other chairs were taped together as well. My last issue was that the bed was way too soft. The location of the condo was wonderful and the kitchen was nice. I just expected more for the price of the unit. We won’t be staying in this unit again.
Right on the beach. The water isn't great for swimming in this area but nice beach for walking and enjoying the views. The place looks as good or better than pictures. Excellent value.
Love Sugar Beach Resort, stayed many times. Unit was clean but throw rugs in bath, kitchen were very dirty. Water leaked into living space by sliding door during rain storm. Sliding door was very hard to open, definitely needs to be addressed. Unit was well equipped in kitchen. Large stain on living room rug.

Sugar beach is a great value making for affordable Maui travel. It’s close to beautiful beaches and fun activities! The unit had what we needed- but could have used a few more towels, better knives/kitchen tools, cleaning products (a broom, specifically) etc. but overall considering the low price, it met our expectations.
Great beach for morning walks. Condo could have better lighting. Location is great.
