We’ve had the pleasure of staying in this condo twice and absolutely loved it both times! The view is simply breathtaking, and there’s nothing better than relaxing on the lanai while watching the stunning sunsets. The condo is comfortable, well-maintained, and fully stocked with everything we need. We can’t wait to come back again!
Our stay was amazing.. the unit is very well stocked, we used the pool side grills, parking was easy, short walk to great restaurants. But the icing on the cake was sitting on the lanai morning & evening watching & listening to the waves crash! I stress over booking places to stay.... would definitely book this again!
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and while we have stayed at this condo complex several times before, this was our first time in this particular unit. This unit is absolutely our favorite! It was just as advertised, fully furnished, had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked and allowed us to cook meals whenever we wanted. We spent much time on the lanai and enjoyed watching the dolphins, birds, surfers, and boats. We enjoyed great walks into town and visited several local restaurants during our visit. We highly recommend Huggo's & On the Rocks as they are very close by and the food was amazing! The Maitais were delicious! The pool was clean and had ample seating in the sun or the shade. We contacted the host once to make a request, which they graciously accommodated. They were very professional and pleasant to talk to. We will stay in this unit again and highly recommend it to others. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
My husband and I stayed in the condo for four nights during the second leg of our trip to the big island. It was a great size for the two of us and having the balcony was fantastic for morning coffee and evening views as well. Great location that is walkable to town without all the noise and traffic of town!
We loved the ability to walk into the main shopping area of Kailua-Kona. At the same time we had fantastic ocean views. You just can’t beat coffee and breakfast on the lanai in the morning.

My husband and I booked a vacation over spring break for my birthday. We looked at SO MANY rentals and ultimately decided on this one. We absolutely made the right choice! The view of the beach from the lanai is stunning and we began and ended each day sitting outside relaxing. You are in walking distance to several delicious restaurants and the Kona shopping area. We had a rental car and did a lot of exploring of the island. Parking was always easy coming back to the condo. The pool area is also very nice with grills and plenty of space. The condo itself is clean and equipped with everything you might need. I would definitely recommend to friends and family in the future. Did I mention the sunsets??? OMGrelaxing.
The condo was exactly as it stated and had more than we’ve ever seen in spices and dishes and everything you can imagine to cook with. My husband grilled downstairs at the grill every night and we ate out for lunches. We asked to check out a little bit later at 4 o’clock instead of 11 and the host was very very accommodating. We recommend this condo highly and when we come back to Kona, we will definitely stay there.
The property is starting to show its age.
Nothing beats the location of this condo, just a short walk to downtown Kona. Condo was very clean and the check in/out process was extremely easy. Tisha is a very responsive host, I had to reach out to her on Thanksgiving day and she responded within a couple minutes!

Beautiful updated comfortable condo. The view from the lanai was awesome. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Had everything we needed during our stay including beach gear and snorkel equipment. We hope to return soon!
Loved the condo. We've stayed 5 times at the Kona Reef but different units. This unit was awesome. Great views right on the ocean, updated bathroom, double A/C unit with one in the bedroom was game changer.
Great communication with the owner. Batteries were going out on the lick, within hours we had someone coming and change the batteries.

This was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in Kona! Everything about this unit is spectacular, from the moment you walk in and hear the crashing waves right outside the lanai you are transformed to paradise. Parking is super easy, the check-in process was one of the smoothest, and the amenities within the condo are extraordinary. I cannot imagine a better view, or a better location. Perfectly situated to view sunset from you lanai. A/C definitely a plus on this part of the island.
My wife and I were here for a long-awaited second honeymoon. The place was perfect. The hosts communicated very well. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and gave us freedom to do our own cooking and even laundry as needed. The bed was soft and the living room furniture comfy. The AC was a godsend in the Kona humidity, the shower head was perfect in terms of pressure and the WiFi worked well.
The pool area was clean and the pool always seemed to be just a degree or two on the cool side, which I love.
Parking was convenient, easy and felt safe.
But, the star of the show was the view. The sunset was appointment viewing each night and drew crowds of Kona Reef guests to the rocks that line the shore. The sound of the waves crashing in the morning and evening was amazing and going outside to see the surfers, parasailers, fishing boats and canoes go back and forth was fun. We even saw crabs on the rocks and yellow and black fish in the little cove in front of the complex every morning.
The icing on the cake was that the price is competitive or better than resorts we have stayed at on the big island and the room and view was much better.
A couple of tips while in the Kona area: Spend a day at Spencer Beach using the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler the hosts put in the closet, have a steak or fish meal at Huggo’s and check out the Big Island in a Day tour from Wasabi Tours.(See if you can ask for Felix as your guide).
Great location, beautiful view, extremely well equipped apartment.
We had great week, staying in Kona for the Queen’s Race. The property is close to town and close to several great restaurants, but far enough away to avoid the crowds and traffic.
The condo was clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The pool area was lovely. We didn’t take advantage of the barbecue area but the grills were large, gas powered and clean.
We had a minor concern with the smoke alarm chirping bu Tisha was right on it.
Overall, it was a fabulous week!

We really enjoyed our stay at this unit in the Kona Reef Resort.
We enjoyed the great ocean view, A/C in the bedroom, and location close to Kona shops. Very nice to listen to the waves, either hanging out on the lanai or fall asleep to that sound at night. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook in the unit and use the community grills. In unit washer/dryer was also nice. Highly recommend this unit.
The unit is as advertised and the other reviews were spot on. We appreciated all the beach gear left in the unit for guests. The bed was very comfortable and the unit simple but very clean and cozy. Tisha answered every question or request within minutes. This was a great home base to comeback to after a day of exploration and beach time. We’ll be back!
We had such a wonderful stay! The condo is clean and comfortable. We found the location to be so convenient to town and we walked there every day. And the VIEW! Breathtaking. We have already started planning our next trip!

What an amazing location and the view from the room was ocean, ocean and more ocean. We walked just about a block and were able to go to all the great restaurants and shops. Everything you could need was in the kitchen. The pool and jacuzzi was a special bonus for watching the sunsets.
Right on the ocean and close to town. Coffee pot quite working and the day it was replaced. Everything for the beach is there, We would stay there again.
