Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful view. One can’t get much better! Everything with rental company went smooth. The Ilikai has some MAJOR electrical issues, I’m not sure of all the reasons but Cinnamons has been closed without notice due to it. The complex has been running on a backup generator for at least part of the complex, for sure the elevators since the issue started, say a month plus, not a wise safety choice. The back up generator failed the night before our departure and we were stranded on the 26th floor with a 80 year old confined to a wheelchair. We had no way of bringing them down the steps. The elevator between the 26th floor and the 30th floor was inoperable the entire stay. Good thing there was no emergency! The realty company was very understanding but were limited in what they could do. We had to stay an extra night confined to our room but was not charged. Thank you. The sad part was the manager was not on site to field questions and left it to the front desk personnel to field them. There was poor communication on when the elevators would be restored which created great anxiety on if and when we would get out. Customer service from the Ilikai was poor but realty company did what they could to help. If they upgrade the electrical distribution system I would stay again, until then, I would be Leary.

I want to start my review by mentioning that I'm a full-time world traveler and a vacation property host myself. Unfortunately, the host for this property could not be less accommodating from the start. Even though they said they could accommodate a 30-minute early check-in at first, they told us a firm no upon arrival. When I reminded them about a promise, they said - okay, fine. Their "rules" state that guests should book an extra night if they need an early check-in or a later check-out. I actually tried to book an extra night, but my messages were unanswered. When I asked for a 2 hours later check out, even though they had no one checking in the next day, it was a straight-up no. While the views from the penthouse are five stars, the service and communication are between 1 and 2 stars. You get an automated message during the weekend that they will get back to you on the weekday. The property itself is equivalent to a 3-star motel. AC is so old that it is just blowing freezing air straight at you that no matter what temperature you set it for, it will remain the same unless you turn it off, and then it will get hot and humid. Everything in the apartment is old, and nothing feels luxurious, especially for the expensive price you pay. Even though the views are spectacular, I suggest looking further, as you will find nicer rentals in the area for lower prices with hosts who would be happy to accommodate guests' requests. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We, 5 adults, stayed at the 3 br rental. It is very convenient to any Waikiki venue and Ala Moana Center. Local beaches were excellent and stunning fireworks viewed from the balcony. Plenty of room.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First let me say that the property was in great condition (could have been a little cleaner) but nothing to worry about. Check in and out was a breeze and great communication with property managers. If there was one downside to the stay it was the beds. All three were like sleeping on a rock so we camped on the couch which was ok. Tv instructions for each remote would help for people in the future. We would gladly stay here again though. Wonderful experience.

This was the best for three couples in Waikiki. The location is amazing and the place is so cozy, would love to stay again. Also on Friday at 7pm there was a fireworks show across in the lagoon area, which had great views from the penthouse

The views in this Penthouse are even better in person. location of this unit to everything was perfect. Nice stocked kitchen. Entertaining space was very spacious. You are able to watch shows from the balcony which was also so nice. Where this unit fell short of expectations is a few simple maintenance issues. Pics have been sent and hopefully these few things will be addressed.
