First, let me say the condo's decor was adorable, and the condo was very clean and equipped with EVERYTHING. We had plenty of room, very comfortable beds and it felt like home for the 7 days that we stayed.

Air conditioners are old, make lot noise and leak dirty fluid which is all over the floors.Youn cant go to sleep with the air conditioner on because of noise and you cant walk on the floor because or dirty fluid leaking from thh air conditioners

This location was clean, super quiet and well appointed. We had everything we could have needed. the lanai was so great! the ocean was right there!
This unit is well-equipped and comfortable. Hosts are warm and responsive! We had a very nice stay. We are a family of three—two adults and a 6 year old. Would stay here again.

The property is very clean and well kept both inside and out. Thos.condo has been updated. Kids and adults loved swimming in the pool and hot tub Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, floaties at the condo. There are some spices but no other condiments. Gas grills on property easy to use and very clean. Grass is great for yoga and laying on Turtles on beach every morning. Only downside is that the ocean is not great for swimming/ snorkeling due to the broken rocky coral bottom. We saw people fishing but never swimming in the ocean so we had to drive everyday to another beach,.which I wish I had known

Enjoyed staying here very much. The central location is ideal, with lots of amenities near by. The beach (complete with turtles!) was great for walking or soaking up the sun. The water was a little murky in this area at times, not great for swimming, but clear water with great swimming and snorkeling are just minutes away. The building grounds were spotless and meticulously maintained. The suite was comfortable and well equipped with upgraded appliances and a very comfortable bed. Would recommend.

Good location, view of the ocean.Clothes dryer had about 2 inches of sand in the filter area. Fan in the living room could not be controlled.Door seal was hanging off the entry.Office staff were very unhelpful.

We didn’t sleep at all ! We ask the manager to bring And you bed and the maintenance guy went to get, but he said it was too expensive and he didn’t get there. OK we didn’t sleep here in the room and Steve lock the code door and we could not go out and in.This is ridiculous when my wife pregnant and she’s sick because of that we are asking for the all the money back as soon as possible. Also, there is no heavy blanket and the AC shut off every four hours. This is not OK. This is not OK at all.
This is the second time we've stayed in Maui Sunset. The first time we were in Building B. We love the atmosphere here at Maui Sunset. We always meet friendly people at the pool. Maui Sunset is more than an appropriate name for this place as the sunsets here are amazing! The condo was very comfortable, recliner, bed, shower, etc. etc. We would stay here again.
Cons: No AC, 3rd floor unit (no elevator), dirty old carpet in master, tight kitchen, broken tiles in kitchen, and front screen door has no security.
Pros: Beautiful view and grounds, close to town (Kona), comfortable bed.
We left after first night because it was too hot. Asked for a refund for the remaining time but owner refused. Found a place that was 10x better about 8 miles south for the same price. Don’t waste your time here.

All good other than not being told the dryer was not working as maintenance were waiting for a part. Was given the option to use another open unit’s dryer when we asked. Thought we did not know how to start it - but it was broken.

It was nice, but I think I’ll come back again when it’s not during a major holiday. The condo was beautiful, the amenities were great. Access to the beach and shops was easy. Everyone in the office were pleasant and helpful.

The whole family met at the Maui Sunset for a Christmas vacation. We had a great time and the Maui Sunset provided excellent lodging with great access to the beach. We also enjoyed the pool and shuffle board. A great place to stay!
