This condo is absolutely beautiful, and the hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The large living area and deck gave our group of 6 plenty of space to relax in between beach trips and adventures. Highly recommend!
We feel so grateful that we got to stay at this house in Poipu. The owners were really friendly, communicative and accommodating while still giving us space to relax in such a beautiful place. The view from the lanai is AMAZING and we had so many lovely patio dinners while we were there. With both AC and fans throughout the unit, we were super comfortable at all times. Also great to have a washer on hand! We were a short walk from multiple beaches. Will definitely stay here again !

The hosts were fine. We found out very quickly though that their office/ utility room for all their units is apart of the “floor” that is advertised of which we stayed . I know it’s called that because the host/ owner was in it when I came back to the house one morning. He had told me that’s what it was and that he used it as an office too. This room is in between our bathroom and the room with the twin beds. The walls are paper thin and we could hear them and they could hear us whether we were in the bathroom etc. if that wasn’t bad enough , they had accessed this living space from that room without our permission . This utility/ office room has an outside door and an inside door directly into our living space. It can only be locked and unlocked from the inside of that room. They had accessed our living space without our knowledge several times as we had put very strong tape on the door at the top and bottom and it had come off from where the door opens. I’m certain about this too because they also opened the door when we were there with the tape on which came off again. They had opened it quite early one morning and then later they were knocking on the door. We didn’t know where it was coming from and then we discovered trash bags hanging on the inside of the door with a roll of paper towels on the floor. That’s nice and all, but again, accessed without our permission. The male host was always around. A huge disappointment! staying there.
In a sea of bland corporately owned or managed VRBOs, this place is an oasis. It is owned by the most kind locals who took us under their wing. The space is stunning, great big kitchen, awesome deck to watch the sunset and a short beautiful walk to the beach. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Don’t miss this place.
We loved it here! The view took our breath away and the place had literally everything we needed - chairs and snorkels and beach towels and a fully equipped kitchen (we cooked every day and it had everything, including a grill! And nice cooking gear/appliances too - an ode to a sharp knife!).
It was a short walk down the hill to the beach and the sea turtles were surfing in the waves every time we walked down. My parents are a little older and less mobile so we chose this for the view vs being right on the beach and it did not disappoint! And it was a five minute walk to amazing snorkeling and body surfing.
The main living/dining area was huge! So spacious and pleasant to relax in. We had 9 people total for a dinner several nights and there was tons of space.
The hosts and neighbors were so kind and fun - we felt like part of the community! We had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. Everything worked perfectly - stove, bbq, fridge, shower, etc. Real attention to detail. Would return 100%!
This was such a perfect location for our first family trip to Kauai! We had a wonderful stay, and the sunset views from the deck were to die for. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 to stay and the hosts were so welcoming. We are already dreaming of returning to Poipu and would love to stay in this location again. Mahalo!

The property was perfect for my family - beautiful accommodations, great size, and very responsive & welcoming hosts in Eddie & Marlene. We loved the stay.
We stayed at Eddie and Marlene’s place the second half of January 2023. The place is clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed.
It is very spacious generally, and has plenty of seating to relax.
We had three adult couples.
Two bedrooms each have their own air conditioner and control. The third bedroom has two twin beds, and does not have its own air conditioner but has a ceiling fan. That one is just off the kitchen and did stay cool at night from the main house AC.
It has a great large deck oriented toward the water. There are other houses, but you can see and hear the ocean from the deck.
We used the gas grill each day; it was great.
The greatest thing for us was the location which is easy walking distance to Brennecke (0.3 mi) Poipu (0.5 mi), Kiahuna (0.8mi) and Shipwreck Beaches (0.8 mi). Makahueana Light is 0.3 mi.
We could walk to several restaurants.
Every morning I got up, walked over and said “good morning” to the turtles on Poipu Beach.
We could see whales spouting far out in the water from the Makahuena light at sunset.
We would not hesitate to stay at this location again if we end up back on Kauai.
The location of this property is fantastic! I specifically chose this home because I've been to Poipu many times and I knew you would be able to walk to Poipu beach, Brenneke's beach and the Marriott Waiohai beach club. The area down there can get very crowded so it's nice to be able to walk.

The hosts, Eddie and Marlene, are really nice people and they endeavor to make your stay a pleasant one. If we needed anything all we had to do was ask. They live in the house next door and are available almost any time you need them. They even brought us over leftover birthday cake, some of the best cake I've ever had!
The tenants that live on the property are very nice as well - just a couple of retired guys enjoying their later years by the beach. The property is very safe and secluded - in the back of a private driveway. If you're looking for a place that sleeps 6 people, look no further!
We had an amazing stay here and would highly recommend it! The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we need to cook all our meals. It was nice to open all the windows and sliders to enjoy the nice Hawaiian breeze, but if that's not your style the AC works great too. You can't beat walking less than 5 min to the beach to hang with sea turtles. What makes the place really shine though are the huge deck with gorgeous sunset views, and the kind and welcoming hosts. Eddie, we are so glad you “attempted to engage with us”! 😉 2 star reviews are sometimes left by 2 star people if you know what I mean. We loved it and promise you won't regret booking here!

Our family of five stayed in this gorgeous property for a week and a half at the end of August 2022. We all loved it!
It is a beautiful newly renovated air conditioned top floor of a house featuring a ginormous living room (no kidding, the photos don't show how spacious it really is!) and a huge deck with an ocean view.
When we arrived, although it was already after 10 pm (it took the car rentals ages to give us a car), we were kindly greeted by Marlene who showed us around the house and offered her help anytime and for anything we may need.
To say the place was clean is to say nothing. Super-clean! Brilliant-clean! Fresh comfy bedding and towels (plus beach towels), beds featuring remote controlled power adjustable bases (yes, you can make your bed form a seat to read or watch TV if you like to!), authentic wood and rattan tables, coffee- and bedside tables, new stainless kitchen appliances, even an adjustable sit-stand office desk in one of the bedrooms (our student-intern daughter was absolutely happy about it, as she had to do some work and attend remote meetings)! Not even mentioning all the necessary beach accessories such as chairs, umbrella, coolers, masks+snorkels, boogie boards etc. It was all super-convenient and cozy. Impressive! I am sure the owners, Marlene and Eddie, put their soul into this house.
The location is perfect! Only 20 minutes driving from Lihue airport with a Walmart and Costco on your way. The south of the island offers the sunniest weather. From the property, it is only a few minutes walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on Kauai, Poipu beach which, together with the adjacent Kiahuna beach, make a place ideal for people of all ages and interests: there's a safe shallow spot for kids, an area for swimming, boogie boarding and even for surfing. And of course snorkeling and watching vibrant marine life. And that doesn't only include hundreds of colorful tropical fishes but also sea turtles and sea lions who would crawl out of the sea before your eyes to bask in the sun.

We had the best stay here - the photos do not do it justice. It's walking distance to one of the best swim/snorkel beaches on the island. There's plenty of room for 6 people. There's also tons of beach items like towels, chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella, coolers, pool noodles and more. The grill worked great for dinners on the ocean view deck. The wifi speed was a fast 55+ Mb/s. We would love to come back again. Thanks Eddie and Marlene!
